Monkey joined our family February 24, 2007. She is a first cousin to Dash - their mothers are litter sisters. When we started to consider a second Corgi for our family, the Carters were, of course, the logical choice. Monkey is a part of the litter I thought I'd be on the list for (she was born six months after Dash). We invited Monkey over for a sleepover as we needed to make sure that she would fit in to the family. It was LOVE at first sight on the part of Dash. Monkey was less sure about the prospect.

Monkey started her life as a show dog but she did not grow to full size, so the Carters elected to spay her and place her with us. She is an absolutely beautiful little girl, and we are very pleased to welcome her to Ganymede.

In the three months she has lived with us, Monkey has made herself quite at home. She recently completed the basic Pet Obedience class at Pet Behavior Help. We will attempt to pass our CGC test later this summer. Our long term plans involve competing in agility for this speedy young lady! We think she will be a natural, and now it is up to me to learn how to teach her to her full potential.
