November 2001 Rant

Well, it is a whole new year and a whole new life for me. This August marked the beginning of my junior year in college. (Goodness I am getting old!) The year started off pretty normally for me... and then my birthday rolled around. Daniel (or Dickhead, as I affectionately call him) decided that the best birthday present of all would be to break up with me, yeah... that went over like a lead ballon. Needless to say a lot has changed for me since then. (Cue cheesy Destiny's Child theme song... All the women who're independent throw your hands up at me...)

Stuff has been kind of hard recently, but I think that I have a really awsome new perspective on life. One thing I realized is that my friends are some of the most wonderful people in the world. I didn't notice how distant I had grown from them, but now I am so happy to have them back in my life. The girls are so much fun, and Lee-Anne (the roomie) is the coolest person I know. She listens to me rant and babble, and even makes it seem like I am interesting. She deserves a gold star or something :)

Another big life altering change (as if one isn't enough)... I decided to double major in Psych and Sociology. This means life is going to be crazy for the rest of the time I am in college. Starting a brand new major second semester junior year is sort of a crazy thing to do, but I really love soci so I think I will be able to handle it. Other than that I really can't think of much else to say.. oh yeah, I just saw the movie "Life as a House" and it was amazing. I absolutely loved it, it was probably the best movie I have seen all year. You should see it if you get the chance.

I don't know why, but I always talk about my progess on this site in my closing remarks. Well, here goes.... it is still not done, I really don't think it ever will be... I set my sights just a bit too high when I started it the summer after fresman year (in college). I will however try to get my act together and put up more stuff from last year, so keep checking back to see what I have gotten done. Nov. 11, 2001
