I realize that I have totally neglected my website over the summer... I could try and spout off some plausible sounding excuses, or you could just accept the fact that I didn't and move on. I guess you could also freak out since you didn't know what I (the exciting individual that I am) was doing for three months, but honestly most of the people who read this are bound to be in touch with me anyway. I worked this summer at the YMCA back in Wilkesboro... and hell if I don't miss the little young uns already! I mean while I was there I couldn't stand the management and all the stupid rules... but I can't believe how much I loved working with those kids. I have all sorts of pictures of them and hopefully I will be able to get some of them up on the site. We will see.
So I got back to Chapel Hill in August (for my SENIOR YEAR!!!) and I realized... hey this place ain't half bad. I really did miss it... not like I am going to stay here after graduation or anything (let's not get too crazy with the oversentimentalism), but I am feeling rather nostalgic. Classes are alright, but I am going nuts about grad school... that is a totally different can of worms though that I am sure I will complain about with greater venom as deadlines draw near.
So I found a new interest over the summer, which had something to do with the company that I kept... now the company I no longer keep, but my new found appreciation for 80's rock remains. The funny thing is Lee-Anne also got into the same kind of music this summer too... so now we dance/ rock out to stuff like def leppard, aerosmith, guns n roses, and bon jovi. It definitely makes for some interesting nights.
Sorry about the randomness of this rant and I know, I know, the picture is corny... but hey... I am lazy and I want to go out and celebrate the fact that I am legal!!! Whoo... I am 21... go meeeeeeeee! Righto... cheers. September 17, 2002
