College Life
I got this web space through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I am currently a senior. I like it here, it is a great school, however, at times I wish it was a bit smaller. I feel just a little too anonymous. If you are interested you can check out their offical site by clicking the link above.
My Freshman and Sophomore years I lived on the second floor of Ehringhaus (known as E-haus to all its residents) and was part of a program called Living Well. It promotes floor togetherness as well as personal well being through a variety of activities and events. On the right you will see a picture of the group from fresman year, and further on down the page is a pic of everyone from sophomore year. Sophomore year I was a program coordinator and planned some of the events like a trip to the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh and Salsa lessons through CHispA. If you do want to see the website put up by the school (which is really not much to look at) click here. You will have to go to the theme housing section to find it.
Most of the people that I hang out with at school are people that I met through Living Well. I love them all and recently I have been working on getting my friends page together so that it includes info on everyone from Chapel Hill. To go there click here.
I am living in Kenan, up on north campus, for the second year in a row. Same room and everything! I really like it a lot. I love being able to roll out of bed 15 min before class and still make it on time, yay! However, I am not fond of the whole all girls dorm thing, where did all the boys go... I miss them. (Not like there is an abundance of them here at UNC, the ratio of females to males is 70:30... eek!!) What's with that?
In the early years, the 5 o'clock supper time crew (consisting of Jen, Wilson, and Jenny along with Brad, Veronica, and Cat) and I chose to pick through the "fine" dining of Chase Hall. The food there grew progressively worse and we all grew pretty tired of the place. Well... when the pickings were slim, I usually went for a bowl of captain crunch. Now we eat up at Lenoir and even though the change was nice in the beginning, at this point we are all just as sick of it as we were of Chase. Lee-Anne always eats a hamburger and Jenny only eats fries and cereal, we are definitely not the healthiest bunch of people, to say the least.
Our Freshman year Jenny, Jen, and I were really avid members of Carolina Fever- the fanatic sports club on campus. We went to a lot of women's soccer and volleyball games, but these past two years we have sort of gotten out of the loop. We used to go to a bunch of men's basketball games, but unfortuneately the distribution standards within fever changed, which meant that the gang and I have been stuck at home rooting for Carolina Basketball. (Except Jenny of course, who is an avid Duke fan despite our attempts to convert her.) This is a pic of the three of us back when we actually got to go to the games.
I have a ton of pictures from different stuff that happened here at UNC. I am still working on getting stuff up from junior year, maybe it will get done. One would think it would since working on my web page is a great way to avoid real work, and yet I am still way behind. Ahh well. Such is life!
You can find most of my pictures with my friends here on my picture page.
