Jen![]() |
When people meet Jen, they seem to think of her as the "quiet one" and I guess at first she is a little bit reserved, but once she gets to know you, she is the best! I feel like we are similar in a lot of ways, however, she does have quite a few qualites that are purely her own. She is ALWAYS late to everything, she sleeps as long as she possibly can, she is a pre-med smarty, and right now she is really into Moulin Rouge. She and Jenny (see below) have been roommates since sophomore year; before that she had a single. She and I used to be the queens of late night ramen partys, especially around 1 am when we were both working on massive papers that we had procrastinated on. By that time, we are so dilerious that Jen usually spilled something on the carpet and then assured me that it is only water (with a little tea in it). What a consolation.

What is there to say about my roommate Lee-Anne, other than she is nothing short of awsome. She puts up with me like no one else can, she listens to me when I talk about absolutely nothing and when I am lacking decisivness she tells me what to do. She loves to dance, hang out with her boys from back home (who are fast becoming an important part of my life as well, they are all great and a lot of fun), is afriad of tounges, and just recently got into the UNC nursing program (the number 3 program in the country, she is such a smarty). She is a really funny combination of girly-girl (she gets dolled up and acts all girlish) and tom-boy (she is into cars and televised sports) that I have never really seen before. Personally I think that it is a result of countless hours spent in Hooters... a place her guy friends took her to and she ended up enjoying!!! Eeeek.... where is the feminism and woman power? But seriously, she is great and I love how diverse she is. She also introduced us to Karaoke... on the right is a pic of her belting out some great "harmony".

Jenny![]() |
Jenny is probably the craziest of us all, and believe me we are all quite loony so this is saying a lot! She totally scared everyone she morphed from the quiet and shy girl to a sex crazed wild woman. I guess she figured that after 3 weeks or so it was ok for us to see this "darker" side. (Her favorite saying seems to be "Momma like, momma like!!) Of course she is not really off fornicating like a sorositute (hee hee) but she does become seceretly infatuated with just about every man she sees. Jenny seems to enjoy stalking her love interests, who tend to be either actors or musicians, and finding out everything there is to know about them online. Yikes! I admit, it sounds a little scary, but she really is not all that weird, just different. She is really good at losing her balance, particularly when she is doing nothing at all. One time she was checking out her butt in a mirror and she just fell down... it was hilarious. Oh and she has the greatest expression on her face when she runs, it is so full of joy and happiness, and of course we tease her about it whenever we get the chance. |
Wilson, the token male member of our neat little posse at college is quite and interesting character. Unfortunately he no longer lives right down the hall from us so we don't get to hang out and watch Jay in his room every evening like the past two years. However, we still eat dinner with him almost every night where he talks to us about the merits of southern culture, the evils of Wal-mart, the ins and outs of his own personal experiences, religion, and politics. I recently discovered that he is a lot of fun to poke at when he is in pain after lifting a lot of weight. I spent an entire night pinching him and listening to his pseudo-screams/moans. It was quite amusing. He also has a unique habit of repeating certain words from a conversation, way after the moment has passed, and then laughing hysterically. We dubbed these outbursts Post-Statement Restatements (or post re for short). He is quite a character.
