Resources for Writers: A Pathfinder

Writing is hard work--and no references or resources can make it otherwise. However, several resources are available that can help you work to better purpose--whether you need to double-check your punctuation, learn a little copyright law, or review professional procedures for approaching editors. Many of these resources are on the Internet. The divisions of this site directing users to specific texts refer to the libraries at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill--particularly Davis Graduate Library. Although designed primarily for nonfiction writers/journalists (especially beginners), this pathfinder cites sources useful to fiction writers, playwrights, and writers in other genres.

Unbeknownst to most art historians, the model for Albrecht Duerer's Melencolia was a writer friend who had just received a rejection letter.
