Things started out in Durham, NC on May 12, 1976. I
was born at Watts hospital, which is now the North Carolina School of
Science and Math. Apparently the nursery where I spent my first few days
is now the computer lab.

I spent the early months of my first year on a
small farm in Northern Durham. Soon thereafter we moved to north Raleigh,
which was relatively rural at that time. It was a big change, I suppose,
although at the time I was more preoccupied with crawling and drooling. |

Years passed and I reached school age. Jeffrey's
Grove was the neighborhood school and I climbed aboard the bus. |

I cruised through grades K, 1, and 2. After school
I spent my time running around the woods and happily blasting away alien
spacecraft on my Atari 2600.
