This pathfinder on Illuminated manuscripts from Anglo-Saxon and English Romanesque periods is directed at undergraduate and graduate art history students who would like to know more about English illuminated manuscripts from the 10^th to 12^th century. Resources cover the history of illuminated manuscripts in Europe to more specific monographs on Anglo-Saxon manuscripts ending with the manuscript facsimiles themselves. Included are dictionaries and encyclopedias, catalogues of illuminated manuscripts, historical atlases and electronic databases. Links to online collections from the British and Bodleian libraries are provided for browsing. UNC-Chapel Hill facsimiles of English illuminated manuscripts from the 10^th to 12^th century are included with descriptions. This is intended as a research guide and introduction to English illuminated manuscripts from the 10^th to the 12^th century.
