This pathfinder on Illuminated manuscripts from Anglo-Saxon and English Romanesque periods is directed at undergraduate and graduate art history students who would like to know more about English illuminated manuscripts from the 10th to 12th century. Resources cover the history of illuminated manuscripts in Europe to more specific monographs on Anglo-Saxon manuscripts ending with the manuscript facsimiles themselves. Included are dictionaries and encyclopedias, catalogues of illuminated manuscripts, historical atlases and electronic databases. Links to online collections from the British and Bodleian libraries are provided for browsing. UNC-Chapel Hill facsimiles of English illuminated manuscripts from the 10th to 12th century are included with descriptions.
