My fields of specialization are International Trade, Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics. I also have interest in Environmental Economics, Labor Economics, and Health Economics.
My current research focuses on colonist farmers in the Northern Ecuadorian Amazon. I am investigating the determinants of the off-farm work choice and how this choice impacts both household welfare and property deforestation.
I have also spent time researching the impact of differing measures of development on the shape of the Kuznets curve, as well as the impact of food aid on African Farmers.
