LANDON'S GENEALOGY LINKS

My Great Great Grandfather, John A. Whitt, Jr., - a private in Company K of the 14th Regiment Virginia Infantry - was wounded by Union cannon fire just before Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg.
History of 14th Virginia Infantry.

"Through those motels and fried-chicken stands, Pickett's men charged.
The first line faltered in the Burger King parking lot and regrouped next to the Tastee Freeze."

A Whitt reunion back in the 50s

The old homeplace in Brooksdale - Roxboro, NC.

A copy of my booklet - Our Whitt Heritage - was placed in the Person County Public Library by my uncle, Frank Whitt.

If you would like a pdf copy of this booklet to print out yourself let me know.
It is almost 5mb and too much for emailing but we can work out something.
