  • In this workshop we will consider an alternative view of the body, one in which the body becomes the fuel for its own transcendence. Using sounds, dexterity of breath, and micro-movements, we shall enter a deep silent listening that takes us outside/inside ourselves to an awareness that could be called freedom. Rather than following a fixed system of postures or formalized exercises that maintain patterned structures without release, our explorations delve into the play of emerging and dissolving form. Via the body and its fluid intelligence, we shall be introduced to our essence which is non-personal and unitary. Free from assumptions and historical impositions, we become creativity in progress: always new, original, boundless, and unconditioned…truly present and alive. No experience necessary. Just come with a curiosity about a practice that increases vitality and creates ease of movement through a resonance with our bio-intelligence.     In this class we will travel an ancient path and map of awakening called the Chakras using sacred myth, ritual, art and the healing modality of Continuum. Continuum is a modality that uses breath and sound to enliven a fluid bio-cellular dynamic. With this awakening, our boundaries become more mutable and adaptable, allowing more movement and space to arrive through wave motion. This facilitates a creative exploration and transformation of the person. One's conditioned way of being in the world can be altered and the constraints of psychological and physical biases dissolved. The engagement with the fluid system awakens a bio-intelligence that invites flexibility, fluidity, wholeness and health. We will use Continuum as a method to move through portals of consciousness called the chakras into greater personal health and well being.

    In this class you will learn: • The seven major chakras: their associated colors, sounds, qualities expressed in the physical, emotional and psychological bodies. • How the breath, sound and fluid movements can clear your chakras and bring you into better health. • How to identify subtle energy awareness and assessment of it in your body. • How to create a Continuum Chakra self-care practice specific to you or your clients energetic needs.

    The Eternal Return

    The universe communicates to us through resonate streams that are separate from utilitarian movements that carry us from here to there. These bio-cosmic movements undulate, spiral and pulsate re-enacting through our bodies living processes not bound by time, space or condition.

    The most emblematic of this universal choreography is the “Ouroborus”, the serpent swallowing its tail. Continuum offers the “Ouroborus”, as a fractal of the Embryonic Spiral in which all life processes are intrinsically and ongoingly engaged and can be realized through our own bodies.

    The Eternal Return is to enter with full consciousness the orbiting spiral of life as it leads us through the profundity of a continually emerging human.

    Another version of the “The Life Story,” is the Garden of Eden where the mid-line of our bodies is represented as “The Tree of Life,” or the “Axis Mundi”, the central theme of all existence rooted deep into the Earth’s “sacrum” with branches reaching toward the Sky “brain”. Adam and Eve standing on either side of the tree are the yin/yang energies inherent in all life forms. Another depiction of “Life Story,” is the caduceus in which the yin/yang energies move through the tree’s “mid-line” undulating their way toward the crowned sky. Each of these analogies brings us to the Theatre of Life taking place within each of us and is brought to fruition through a willingness to shed what has grown stale in order to usher in new life. All practices of restoration follow a similar pattern. There is an incubator, container, uterus, alchemical vessel or sarcophagus to maintain the precious ingredients as the spirals of re-newal are invoked.

    Our Continuum practice is to provide just such an environment in order to mid-wife this most sacred of practices.

    In deep long movement dives, we breathe, slow down, sound, listen, feel, deepen our embodiment, and rest into spacious silence. From the depths of stillness we may weep with grief or rise and dance with wild abandon joy. For our vision quest allnighter we will adorn the room with shamanic textiles to stimulate the imaginal, psyche processes, and to support our dreamtime journeys for healing and envisioning. We will co-create dreamtime ceremony to enter the mystery as we join those—visible and invisible—who tend the indigenous soul and beauty of this world. You are invited into resonant communion to weave a living tapestry out of our particular and shared dreams, and to soulfully express what lives in your heart.

    We open a context of awakening, silence and courtship of the mystery. Directly sensing silence, opens a palpable mystery, a living presence, reveals creative channels, and awakens insights to invite love and magic in the waking dream we call our life

    Please bring a yoga mat to all classes.   If you are attending the jungle gym class, bring ankle and wrists weights if you have them.  If you are attending the continuum class, bring a blanket or mat for cushioning.  Wear comfortable clothes to move in.

    Pre-registration is required for all classes.  Early registration is recommended.

    Cancellation Policy

    Workshops require a 3 week notice for you to receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee.  With less than the required notice, we can not offer a full refund, unless your spot is filled. 

    Classes require pre-registration and full payment for the series before the initial class.
