Rusty Hits Rick With Snake, Film at 11!
Bobby Nichols:
You know I forgot all about that. I did the sound for the cantina so I was incredibly busy during it. All I remember was everyone yelling when that happened. J
We all went out to He's Not here after the cantina. I didn't drink beer, so I bought a four pack of wine coolers (wine coolers had just been introduced and were only sold in stores, not bars) and drank then one after another in the space of about a half-hour. We all sang filk songs downstairs in He's Not Here and finally broke up about 2am. I remember walking back to morrison drunk off my ass and closing the laundry (I ran that in the dorm) drunk.
Ken Felder:
In terms of the cantina, I think most of us remember the time that Rusty, as MC, kicked a snake off the stage. It landed in Rick McGee's lap, and Rick almost had a heart attack: it just couldn't have happened to a worse person, health-wise. I also remember that in one cantina—I think it was Chimeracon II, the first one with a cantina--the only person who auditioned well for the Dr. McCoy part was Diane Whitworth, so we rewrote the skit around the idea of a sex-change operation.
