Hi! My name is Lisa Kelly I am a journalism/international studies major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel HIll I started this web page for a journalism class. It is an experiment and very much under construction. Visit often to see changes.

This is a picture of me in front of Jeckyl and Hyde Restaurant in New York City. This is a cool place. The food is okay but the attractions inside are fun. It is pretty expensive. I went to New York around New Year's this year and did the tourist thing. I got to see Phantom of the Opera and The Nutcracker on the same day. Talk about culture overload, but it was definitely worth it. I grew up near New York so it felt really good to go back. I think my family might be going back again next year.

Here are some of my favorite places to go in Chapel Hill
  1. Caffetrio
  2. Caribou Coffee
  3. Bruegger Bagels
  4. The Arboretum(a great place to study outside)
  5. The Forest Theatre

I am really interested in drama. Right now I am assistant stage manager for a Pauper Players show called Chess Here is another link with pictures of the real towns that Chess is set in. It is an awesome show. It runs April 18th through the 20th. Everyone around Chapel Hill should come see it. For any theatre buffs out there, I have found some cool and helpful web sites you may want to check out. Here is a link to Playbill Here is another site about Broadway shows

When I am not at the theatre, I can usually be found at the Newman Center. It is a Catholic Church, but it is different than other churches I'm used to. I really feel at home there. Newman doesn't have its own website yet, but the Raleigh Diocese has a site that usually mentions Newman activities. It also gives information on other area churches.

Please check out my resume and bibliography pages. The bibliography has research suggestions from a project I did on Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" If you need reference ideas this is the place.
