From interpersonal interactions in the workplace to international comparisons of employment legislation, my classes have covered a broad array of topics. I have taught courses on the sociology of work at both the micro and macro level. The first, Social Relations in the Workplace, examines work through a social-psychological lens. My other class, The Labor Force, focuses on the composition of the workforce and major trends influencing employment opportunities. The syllabi for recent semesters can be accessed below: SOCI 131: Social Relations in the Workplace SOCI 427: The Labor Force
My teaching portfolio describes my philosophy on teaching and is accessible here. |
