Born a bit over a quarter of a century ago in Hollywood (Florida, not California, more's the pity). Raised by my amazingly wonderful (if she does say so herself) mom. Moved to Atlanta, GA just as soon as we got sense. Siblings and family structure subject to change without notice. Currently two brothers, one sister, a really cool sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and two amazing nieces. Attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables 1989-1990. Nice school, lousy architecture, worse weather. Switched to the University of Georgia at Athens, from which I escaped with a BS in Psychology and an AB in Linguistics in 1994. Good professors, nice social scene; don't go near the campus on a game day! Forged out across the continent to the University of California at Berkeley, from which I struggled screaming with an MA in Folklore in 1996. Marvellous professors, really cool classes, pretty campus. Great food, lousy place to live if you like the colour of grass and trees. Currently back in the South, theoretically at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but more or less gainlessly employed as an all-around tech junkie.
