Ken Palmer's Home Page
I'm a sociology graduate student at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nothing too fancy here for now, but
take a look at my Curriculum Vitae (links at left of this page) or information
about the courses I teach. My dissertation is on the role of media in ethnic
conflict. Though it is still in its early stages, I plan on examining
ways of reducing ethnic conflict in deeply-divided societies by extending
power-sharing to institutions of news media. To that end, I'm off
to N. Ireland and Bosnia this summer. I'll keep you posted on how
it goes.
