This is me! The picture on the left is me on my 16th birthday. The one
on the right is me on my 18th birthday, (legally) sipping a cocktail in
the Virgin Islands.
Who
are you?
That’s a complicated question, and I’m not in a
philosophical mood right now, so I’m just gonna give the basics. I’m a
freshman
at UNC Chapel Hill. I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC
and lived in the same house
for all 18 years of my life there. I have four siblings—three sisters
and a brother.
Shira is
17, Gabrielle is 15, Maris is 13, and Ari is almost 10; that’s right,
the
four of us
girls were born in five years. Which brings me to my next point…my
parents are
awesome. I don’t really need to elaborate on that point, other than to
say I
think they are two of the most incredible people I’ve ever known. So
back to
me…I’m basically undecided as far as a major goes. I came in thinking
Chem, but
now I’m thinking Spanish with a minor in Arabic. But honestly, who
knows?
Fortunately, I don’t have to for a while. Okay, on to my last point,
even
though he drives me crazy, I have an awesome boyfriend. I love you
Brettly!
Okay, well that’s a pretty short and not-too-informative blurb about me
but you can find out more if you keep reading.

Favorites.
Honestly, I really don't have one favorite, but here are some links to
some of the ones to which I listen. Little side note...Naji is an Arab
singer and Thalia is a Spanish one. I included sample songs where I
could.

Movies.
I've recently diagnosed myself as a
huge Johnny Depp fan, so here are links to reviews/information on my
favorite movies of his.
I'm really into water
sports--swimming, water skiing, and sailing. I love the water! I also
like to snow ski; my parents have spoiled me by taking me out to
Colorado, to ski for a week, almost every year since I was 5. As far as
hobbies go, I just learned how to knit, but I think it's something that
will become a lifelong interest. I'm also a big fan of my aquarium, and
I love buying new fish or decorations to add to it.

A little explanation for each may be necessary so you got one.

Okay, so I like to check the forecast every morning and since our room
is lacking cable...this is the way to go.

This is a link my Arabic teacher gave us to learn some new vocab. I
really haven't learned that much, but when I need a good laugh I
click on the funny-looking cartoon man in the body parts section.
(Don't worry...he's wearing underwear.)

This site's not great, but sometimes when I'm too lazy to get out my
Spanish/English dictionary it comes in handy.

I don't know about you, but in my opinion, trying to figure out metric
conversions is a big pain. This site is awesome and can convert
almost every kind of unit to another kind of unit.

And finally, I have a 10-gallon aquarium with tropical fish so I use
this site to find out more about the ones I have and see if there's
anything new and interesting to add.
Pictures.
Yay for pictures! Who doesn't like
pictures? Here are some of me with the people I love most. Engjoy!
