"I'm from New Jersey."When I tell people that they usually start making fun of the New Jersey Turnpike, or how rude people are, or how trashy the
girls are. For the most part I agree with them. I was never too fond of New Jersey as a state and I have no immediate plans
to live there in the future. But I must say that New Jersey is a great place to grow up. It's near the city (always a plus)
but the thing I've always liked best about New Jersey was it's diversity. I grew up with tons of different people, races, religions,
and whatnot. But maybe that also depends on the neighborhood you live in. Anyways, that's probably the one thing I value most
about my state. Whenever I walk around campus at UNC all I see are the same two people: UNC fratboy & sorority girl. They
all look the same to me. New Jersey may be trashy, but at least it's got some spunk, some character.
