Italy. Go for the food. During my semester break in Korea I went to visit my roommate who was studying abroad in
Florence, Italy. I was there only a week. It was enough to take in the city's beauty and sample the food, but much too short a
time to really enjoy life there. Unfortunately, Florence has attracted so much tourism that it has taken over the city to the
extent that it commands the economy there. Merchants thrive off overcharging poor tourists. Once I got charged 9 dollars for a
cup of ice cream, it was good though. Nevertheless, it was hands down the most beautiful city I've visited. The pictures here
don't do it justice.
We went to Rome too, but I didn't think it was all that special.
