Welcome to Molly Benner's Web Page

I'm a junior at Carolina. I'm in the News-Editorial sequence of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I'm taking a few classes over the summer, one of which is Electronic Information Sources. One of my assignments is to build a personal Web Page--something I never would have done on my own. As a typically modest individual, I don't really feel comfortable expounding mass amounts of personal information to anybody who may happen upon this site. Nonetheless, it is an unfortunate truth that I won't do well on this assignment if I don't at least provide some glimpse into my personal sphere. So, I'll give a few of the essentials and leave the rest to imagination. Basically, all anybody would ever have to know about me is that I'm a die-hard sports fan. It really doesn't matter which sport--though hockey is my sport of choice. I'm also a member of the Carolina Varsity Rowing Team. Rowing is just one of the many sports that I have participated competitively so far. As far as careers go, I decided that if I spend so much of my day following/watching/playing sports anyway (and I love to write), why not try this sportswriting thing? I guess we'll see how that goes.

After residing in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. for 18 years, nestled cozily in the culturally bland mid-Atlantic region of the United States, I decided to go south for college. It provides updates and commentary on all the essential sports.
	The Daily Show Jon Stewart must be the funniest man on earth. If you ever miss the show, this is the next best thing.
	Sports Illustrated Much like ESPN, this site is a wealth of sports commentary and information.
	National Hockey League It's basically ESPN with a hockey concentration, though we're heading into the off-season over the summer.
	The Washington Capitals A native Washingtonian, I'm a huge Caps fan. AOL man Ted Leonsis, majority owner of the Caps, is really big on PR, so as Web Sites go, I guess this one's pretty good.
