A laid back place

Hello, and welcome to my homepage on the internet. My name is Matthew Carroll and I am a junior at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For now, I am a graphic design major and a cultural anthropologist minor, with plans of going into advertising or design and possibly law school. I am also a photographer and artist and enjoy getting outdoors and physical activity such as biking, hiking, driving and my newest passion, golf. I can really cut the grass! I hail from Charlotte, North Carolina, most recently, but I have spent a good deal of my life up North and out West while I was growing up. Originally, I am from St. Louis, Missouri, and New England, and have traveled over much of North America and the Carribbean. While I miss the snow of the North and the warm nights in Miami, I have to admit that nothing really compares to the temperate climate of the Carolinas.

My RX-7 Webpage: I own a Mazda Rx-7 Turbo, so I am always looking for great sites that offer lots of comprehensive information about my car. Unfortunately, not many good sites exist, but I am always looking for them, and include them on my site when I come across them.

the house: I am also a fan of snowboarding and realize that equipment can be very expensive and hard to find if you don't necessarily live near any mountains (like me). the house is a Minnesota based snow store that has set up shop online and offers killer prices and delivery anywhere you need your stuff sent. They have boards, bindings, rags, and accessories for the discerning snowboarder on a graphics rich site. Click on the letters to get to the catalogues.

MP3.com: Play music from the internet! This is a great site for anyone who is into music and would like to play tunes off the internet. MP3.com offers advice, music files, and software for playing these MPEG files on your computer so its good for beginners and pros alike, and includes industry news and articles about the ongoing debate over MP3's legality. For more information about MP3 you can also check out My MP3 Webpage about it, complete with info on the new portable players (like walkmans).

Party School.com: This is a site dedicated primarily to the college student, but offers great information for anyone looking to have a good time, especially around the Chapel Hill area. PartySchool.com offers a wide variety of social outlets, from listings of current happenings at local moviehouses, clubs and bars; mixed drink recipes; and card (drinking) games to ideas for theme parties, humor, and even links for the student who needs to reign his or herself in. This site is a must see for anyone with a collegiate mind!
