Emissions

Emissions of two primary classes of pollutants (NOx and VOCs) lead to the formation of ozone in the atmosphere. This section describes these classes of pollutants, lists their sources, presents data, and describes the process by which North Carolina measures ozone concentrations through its monitoring process.
