Pollutant Transport

Pollutant transport is the movement of pollutants through the atmosphere away from their original sources. The movement of pollutants through the atmosphere implies that ozone concentrations in certain areas can be effected by emissions of NOx and VOCs in other areas. Through the Gaussian Model, we can predict ozone concentrations in one area due to sources located in different areas. This is important to determining ozone concentrations and helping scientists and policy makers make decisions about policies to reduce ozone concentrations.
