It took a coupe of days to fill in the colors, since you oftentimes have to wait for the paint to dry in one area before you can go back and work on it again. Also, this was during the semester, so I could only work so many hours a day.
To make sure that the colors didn't clash with the rest of the room or the rest of the house, I was using a combination of the couples' wall paint and ordinary acryllics.
