Announcement:

MCM Prep Workshop, Organizational Meeting, 6PM Tues., Jan. 15, Phillips 228:  MCM is the worldwide Mathematical Contest in Modeling.  During this fun and challenging weekly workshop, you'll create mathematical solutions to real-world problems.  In February, two outstanding teams (3 students each) will be chosen to represent UNC in the prestigious MCM competition.  Mathematical modeling explores questions like... * Do cell phone talkers make rush hour last longer?  * Is it important to get a flu shot if you're healthy?  * Could we make elections more fair?  For more information, contact: Dr. Sarah Williams (saw@email.unc.edu), www.unc.edu/~saw/MCM
