The lighting of the luminaries, to honor those who are struggling with cancer and to remember those who have died, must be experienced. It is one of the most emotional times of the Relay, as well as one of the most sensually striking. Luminaries can be purchased online, using the form below. The luminary ceremony happens at 9 pm at East Chapel Hill High School. The Loreleis, an a capella group from the University of North Carolina, will perform and an honored guest will speak of her experiences.
