Media Expertise

I am very committed to assist in efforts that can help children and adolescents through difficult adjustment periods, or who may be at risk for psychological symptoms. I believe that public education of psychological science is crucial to help parents and youth benefit from the field of psychology.

My prior work with mass-market media has involved consultation on:

Peer relationships, including popularity, peer victimization
Depressive symptoms in adolescence
Nonsuicidal self-injury (e.g., cutting)
Suicidal behavior among adolescents
Psychological treatment of children and adolescents, including evidence-based treatment

My work with professional media has involved consultation on:

Professional development of graduate students in clinical psychology
Internship application and selection process
Doctoral training/mentoring in psychology
