Week 13 - Web Programming I

W3schools form tutorial

This was a very good refresher. This website has consistently been very easy to read and follow. I bookmarked this site a while ago. The material is a lot more useful then the ATN readings.

ATN's Web Authoring: Forms
I was glad to see that you can use HTML to create mailform. In the past, I have had difficulty using Dreamweaver. The examples in the text seem staightforward. I think the mailform tips and reminders will be very helpfulin troubleshooting mistakes. It seems like in order get your form to work properly, you cant't make an error and you have to make sure every t is crossed and i is dotted, which be the way is going to be tricky and tedious to me.

CGI101.COM
Yes, the material was easy to read, however I had never heard of CGI before so everything I read was completely foreign to me. So, it is important to me to define what CGI means. CGI stands for "common gateway interface." Okay, that means nothing too me. I really didn't like using UNIX at the beginning of the semester. I will probably feel the same way this time as well. Supposedly, Perl is easy to learn but too me the scripts seemed extremely long and they look like a bunch of foreign code. As usual, I am going to have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to do this.

ATN's Personal CGI Access
I read it. The steps to take access CGI appear to be staightforward.
