Things to know before you begin searching –
This article was very interesting. As part of my job responsibilities, I utilize the internet tremendously. I have been experience using all of the categories described in this article. It is interesting to find out that meta-search engines only catch about 10% of search results. I love and Yahoo and Google and I pretty much finding myself using them over and over again. Specialized databases are extremely useful to me when I was searching for journal articles.

How internet search engines work –
This was another interesting article. It was interested to learn how information is “found” on the web. Recently I was told about the “Boolean operators” by a librarian. I had used all the operations in the past except I had never used “quotation marks.” By using the quotation marks now I don’t get as much irrelevant material when I perform various searches.

Recommended Search Strategy –
This article was ok. It was pretty basis. I think steps three and four are the most important ones. There are so many different search engines out there right now, I feel it is very important not to stick with only one. Browsing the web can be fun and you have to learn as you go because web is constantly evolving.

Evaluating Web Pages –
This article was the most useful of them all. The questions that the author brought up were very relevant and a lot of the questions that were brought up were things I never considered when reading information I have known on the internet.
