CNN Cable News Network, Public Relations, Washington, D.C. Intern

May-August 2002

~Pitched stories to reporters, compiled reporter lists and wrote news advisories and releases to distribute to reporters regarding CNN coverage

~Wrote listings of press coverage for weekend shows including Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, Novak, Hunt & Shields and The Capital Gang

~Wrote and distributed guest listings for shows including Wolf Blitzer Reports, Connie Chung Tonight and Larry King Live

HBO Home Box Office, Denver, CO, Intern

May-August 2001

~Promoted HBO programming including Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Gladiator and Madonna Live, to HBO employees and satellite offices

~Planned activities and events to motivate call center staff

~Pitched selling ideas to encourage call center staff and increase sales

~Worked on Snickers account promoting Snickers and U.S. Youth Soccer

~Traveled to the national and regional tournaments, worked with local media at tournaments, planned and organized opening ceremonies
