here is much more then meets-the-eye
to these tiny earth creatures. They have a great healing power, surpassing
many herbal remedies, and can even grant the power of divination if used
properly. The tradition is known throughout Europe, particularly in Hungary
and Germany (in other regions you are likely to find midwives and hermits
who may know that moles have this power, but may not know how to use it).
Many Hermetic Magi of the Rhine, Greater Alps, and Transylvanian Tribunals have researched these tales of the mole's mysterious power, and some believe it can grant visions and cure specific ailments. It is a tricky science, as specific uses of the mole, both alive and involving its internal organs, apparantly have quite different effects. Learning and understanding these applications consumes the attention of several theorists in middle Europe. One universal truth seems to be known: that only one application of the mole can be used per animal. Further use of the beast has no effect and often produces undesired effects (even reversing the initial application's effects).
Different methods of death for the mole seem to result in curing different afflictions though the same steps be taken otherwise!
