Idol was incredibly handsome, as you can see here. When I first talked to the representative from the adoption kennel at the track was being retired from, she asked me why I wanted him in a very suspicious voice. I told her that he was Roman's great nephew and that we'd loved Roman so much we wanted a dog who was related. That changed everything! I found out later that she was afraid we'd seen him race and wanted him only because he was so good-looking.
