I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. My research interests center on the quantitative analysis of protest and social movements; the intersection of place and political action; and the environmental justice movement and pollution disparities. I am currently the Book Review Editor for Social Forces. I teach classes in social movements and political sociology.
