I am currently a PhD student at the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My research interests include middle management in information agencies, managerial effectiveness and outreach. As a practitioner, my areas of expertise include library administration, strategic planning, coordination of public services and music librarianship.

What information consumes is rather obvious: it consumes the attention of its recipients. Hence, a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention and a need to allocate that attention efficiently among the overabundance of information sources that might consume it. Herbert Simon
