There is a strong culture of service on the UNC Chapel Hill campus. Students on their own and student organizations all engage in an incredible array of service activities locally, across NC, across the country and even across the world. This is something we are rightly proud of about our students.
One of the challenges is [...]
One of the things we wanted to accomplish with the Joomla upgrade for student orgs was to allow for more and easier customization of their sites. We jump started this with a default set of 60+ themes, some commercial, some free that gave organizations a large base to work from. It’s been interesting to watch [...]
Just finished the Word Press 2.7 upgrade and realized I haven’t posted in quite some time. Maybe it’s my twitter addiction that is keeping me from posting. Things are moving along nicely with the slice updates. We’re working through some additions to the interface, but we’ve managed some basic clean-ups that should help. Defaulting to a week view seems like a logical and easy way to handle the display and we’ve updated the code to keep the calendar format in week view [...]
With the semester winding down, we plan to take advantage of the summer to work on revamping the calendar interface for slice. We’re pushing out an edit to the events creation page for all the Mambo sites that will allow people to decide whether to publish an event or not. This should be in place [...]
