Based in Chapel Hill, NC, Beatles & 60's rock & roll band The BackBeat pleases crowds of all ages with hits from the Fab Four along with timeless classics from The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, The Who, The Kinks and more! Since 2001, The Backbeat have built a loyal following of college students and young-at-heart fans of all ages. Their repertoire spans The Beatles’ entire career, and they take great pride in striving to reproduce the songs as true to the originals as possible - including 3 and 4 part vocal harmonies. Fans young and old alike share the band’s enthusiasm and love for these hits, and a splendid time is guaranteed for all!
10 Year anniversary!
Our first gig was June 10th 2001, opening the Linda McCartney photo exhibit at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill. Over 1800 people attended and saw the band! What started off as a once-only performance has now become an over nine year adventure! In that time we've played over 450 shows, to 100,000 people in 5 states.
