I
am an assistant professor in the philosophy department at the Ohio State University. I received my PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009, under the direction of Gerald Postema.
My research focuses on epistemic aspects of moral and political justification, especially in the work of John Stuart Mill. I also have interests in social epistemology and pragmatism.
I am married to Abigail Norris Turner, an assistant professor in the division of infectious diseases in the College of Medicine at OSU. We have two sweet kids, Charlotte and Cyrus.
