The topics will be agreed upon in advance, and I would like each of you to come and see me before the end of October to discuss your paper topics. Examinations: Since this is officially a reading course, there will be no final examination in the course. Oral presentations: Each student will be required to make several oral presentations during the course of the semester. Presentations will be limited to a mere 20 minutes. One of the presentations will be on the subject of your paper. These presentations will be made during the month of November, and we will all give our input and suggestions so as to help you in the writing of your paper. Weekly readings and exercises: Reading assignments are assigned from week to week. In addition, there will be several translation exercises/texts which you will be asked to complete at home, and some problem sets to solve.
