  The Southeast European Studies Association (SEESA) is a scholarly, non-profit , non-political organization devoted to an exchange of knowledge among scholars interested in the area of Southeastern Europe. 
 
Greece
In particular, SEESA seeks to promote instruction in North
American colleges and universities, organize panels at national and
international conferencess, encourage the preparation of teaching materials
and translations, foster exchanges, summer programs, publications, and
research in the many fields which cover the area of Southeastern Europe.
In addition, SEESA seeks to promote joint research, scholarly exchanges
and conferences, expeditions, and publications with scholars
in Southeast European countries.

Membership in SEESA is open to all who have a substantial interest in any aspect of scholarship relating to the Southeast European area. Members whose dues are paid are eligible to vote and to receive the newsletter and other publications.  SEESA is an affiliate of AAASS (American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies).
