Get a current copy of the EAGLE SCOUT RANK APPLICATION. It is available from the Resources page of this web site or from your unit’s advancement chair. It is an Adobe PDF document that can be filled in on your computer and printed, or printed and filled in by hand.

 

Have your unit’s advancement chair get a copy of your Advancement Report from the council office, and use information from it to complete your rank application wherever applicable.

 

Pay particular attention to the following parts of the Application

REQUIREMENT 2. Demonstrate that you live by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law in your daily life. List the names of individuals who know you personally and would be willing to provide a recommendation on your behalf.

To fulfill this requirement, you must:

  1. Get permission from at least five people (six if you include an employer) to list them as references on your Eagle application. The Religious reference must be from your religious institution (or parent/guardian if your family does not belong to a religious institution), and the educational reference must be from your school
  2. Provide each of your references with a copy of the council Letter of Recommendation Request form (available from the Resources page)
  3. Include accurate, legible name, address, phone number, and email address on the application for each reference

 

REQUIREMENT 6. Take part in a Scoutmaster conference (with Scoutmaster, Coach, or Advisor). Attach to this application a statement of your ambitions and life purpose and a listing of positions held in your religious institution, school, camp, community, or other organizations during which you demonstrated leadership skills. Include honors and awards received during this service.

To fulfill this requirement, you must include both a statement of ambitions and life purpose, and a list of positions outside of Scouting in which you’ve demonstrated leadership.
