Pressure
in the capillaries is balanced by two forces and regulates movement between
blood and tissue. Hydrostatic pressure pushes fluid out of
the capillaries. Oncotic pressure balances this by maintaining fluid
inside the capillaries. Poiseuille's Law shows the dependance of
the rate of flow on the difference in these two forces.
