We, the BlindGames group,
agree to provide our client, Gary Bishop, with an application that will be
usable by the vision-impaired. This
application will be in the format of a video game resembling the popular PAC-MAN
and will aim for a target audience of blind children from the ages of 8 and
older. The BlindGames group also agrees
to provide proper documentation for the application in the form of a user’s
manual such that the user will be able to understand all the features,
functions, and attributes of the game.
The client, Gary Bishop,
agrees to provide the BlindGames group with information about the necessary
libaries, including libraries for audio and joystick force-feedback. Furthermore, the client agrees to provide the
students with the necessary equipment, including speakers and game systems, in
order for progress with the project (if need be).
The program will run as
stand-alone software, and the technologies that will be utilized are as
follows: C# will be the primary
programming language used to develop the product. OpenGL and OpenAL libraries will be used for
graphics and sounds (respectively) in the video game. Other technologies will be used on an
as-needed basis.
