Rebecca M. Holmes

About me. I'm studying physics and creative writing as a junior at UNC–Chapel Hill. I spent the Fall 2009 semester at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. I work part time at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and also for the UNC Experimental Nuclear and Particle Astrophysics group. I'm a staff writer for Carolina Scientific, the undergraduate science magazine at UNC, and I lead Supplementary Instruction study groups for introductory physics classes. In 2009 I was a NASA Student Ambassador for the International Year of Astronomy 2009. I also represented NASA and the U.S. at the IYA 2009 Opening Ceremony at UNESCO in Paris in January.
