Masters Degree in Administration with a Concentration in Health Care Services, Central Michigan University

Doctoral Candidate in Health Care Administration and Leadership, Medical University of South Carolina

Career includes having began as an EMT and later a Paramedic with Davidson County in the 70's, and worked with MEMS in Charlotte, and Randolph EMS before becoming the Emergency Services Director at Montgomery County in the late 80's.  Moved to FirstHealth in the mid 90's to implement and oversee the development of the Regional EMS System. Has since worked for UNC Hospitals, and FEMA as a Reservist in the Mitigation Division and has taught at more than half of the 58 NC Community Colleges.  He left NC to serve as the Administrator for MedCare, a large SC based ambulance service before recently returning to his current role at the University of North Carolina, School of Medicine.
