Roger Mills-Koonce, Ph.D.

Dr. Mills-Koonce studies the genetic, psychophysiological, inter-personal and intra-personal determinants of parenting behavior among mothers and fathers of young children.  He is particularly interested in the development of attachment relationships and their influence on the emotional development of children and parental development of caregivers.  Currently, his research is largely based on data from the Family Life Project, the Durham Child Health and Development Study, and the NICHD Study of early Child Care and Youth Development.
