I went back to Albuquerque, NM during the month of May. My aunt was in town and I just had to see her. While in town my family went to the new Mexican Cultural Center, Acoma Sky City, Tent Rock and other "odd n end" type places like the movies.

I really wanted to get some pictures of Acoma but the natives would rather rip you off with the price of pictures because it's "sacred". You can't even sit and paint the area. If you can picture isolated flat top tall mesas, then that's what Acoma looks like. It's very beautiful country, very windy with plenty of added sand. (thanks to movie crews & John Wayne). The colors are reddish brown to an off white with a bit of green from the plants growning nearby.
I do respect the people and the things that they have had to go through but what I'd like to know is how the people come up with the notion that spirits of loved ones passed on go through a hole built in the wall. If you really think about it, there isn't any sense to that thinking. As if anyone could make a conscious decision to do anything after death. My heart went out to these people and other Native Americans because of how they've been deceived. I pray that the Lord will send His children to witness to these people. We will be meeting God first and the only way to be in heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as savior.

John 14:1-6 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go, ye know the way.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
