Thanks to Octavio Perez for these rare photos of the Farol de Palmeirinhas southwest of Luanda, Angola. At left is the ruined base of the former lighthouse; a 1969 photo of that lighthouse by Ivo Cardoso is available. At left is the modern lighthouse, a solar-powered steel skeletal tower.
