Dog beds

My second dog loved dog beds. We still had our first dog at the time, but my second dog liked his privacy. The first dog wanted to snuggle with him, since she wasn’t allowed to snuggle with humans after I moved out of the house (my parents and sisters just were not as willing as I once was to open their beds up to the large body of an extremely friendly and eager yellow Labrador Retriever), and he did not want to snuggle back. Having his own dog bed helped him achieve some sort of privacy in the night. He could keep the other dog out and claim the space as his own.

He had a problem, though. During the day, while he was awake, he was perfectly house trained, a neat, clean little angel of a dog. While he was sleeping, though, he unfortunately just could not control his bladder or (sometimes, alas) his bowels.

The first of the dog beds we had for him was, again, that traditional round kind with raised edges. The fluffy inside was lined with fake wool. He loved that bed and would snuggle up in it every night with a contented sigh of loner’s relief. But half the time everyone else in the house would wake up in the morning wrinkling their noses at the smell that had infused his dog bed over night. And it wasn’t easy to get rid of, either. Febreeze is what they started with, but they soon moved to tougher sprays, like Lysol to try and kill germs and smell. The dog bed was too big, stiff and bulky to dump into the washing machine, so it became a real problem.

My parents finally threw it away and got the dog a new bed, one the match the first dog’s variety of bed for dogs. It was like a big square pillow, one that was relatively easy to clean, because it would fit in the washing machine. Our second dog didn’t sleep for days. He roamed around the house every time he was sleepy looking for his old bed. He couldn’t get comfortable in the new one.

In fact, he never did. When he finally tired of looking for the old bed, he succumbed, and climbed into bed with our first dog. And then they were both happy, even when they both woke up smelly.

Wedding invitations

I really had no idea how important wedding invitations were until I started helping my cousin out with her wedding. After placing herself in the wedding announcements, she asked me for help with some stuff and I of course agreed. Man, trying to pick out wedding stationery is seriously like deciding the fate of your marriage, haha. The wedding invitations you send out will probably have a pretty big impact on whether a person shows up or not (if they’re not family or close friends, that is), and you want a wedding to be full, not empty! We were looking through the more elegant wedding invitations the other day and were really impressed with the styles and prices on this one website we found. Today we’ll probably look through the other styles. There are so many that I really don’t know how to decide. Bah! The crazy thing is that it’s not even my decision! I guess that’s less stress on me though, haha. I won’t have to choose between my favorite five designs like she will. But seriously, all of this wedding stuff has made me think a lot about my own. Sure, it probably won’t be for a really long time, but that “really long time” isn’t really that far away, is it? Spooky. I’m pretty sure I’d get my wedding stationery and wedding invitations from the same site though. The selection is seriously overwhelming (in a good way), and it is always nice to have options. They offer a lot of stuff at really great prices, too, and you can choose to have optional pieces of flair if you want, such as ribbon or lace, etc. It’s nice, and I feel like a lot of it is worth it. You only really get one wedding invitation to send out in your lifetime (hopefully), so I think that it’s worth spending a little more to be happy with what you have, especially when it’s only a minor expense compared to the actual ceremony and reception, which should always include an open bar. If you don’t have one and I have to take a plane to get to your wedding, expect me to egg your house.

marriage counseling

It’s crazy to think about the divorce rate in this country. About half of all marriages seem to fail for some reason. It’s pretty sad, really. What should be a perfect union between two people has fallen to nothing more than a legal arrangement for some. What makes this all happen? While I’m sure some of it has to do with incompatibility and a rushed marriage, what about the other stuff? I think I heard something that said financial stress is one of the top reasons for divorce, but who knows? I might not know much, but I’m pretty sure that people used to say that love conquers all. My parents have gone through almost a quarter century together, which is amazing. Through it they’ve had plenty of problems pop up, but they’ve always gotten through it. Maybe people think that their marriage problems are unique to themselves and that no one is out there to give them the marriage help that they need. What’s sad about that is that there are plenty of opportunities to get that help – marriage counseling, couples therapy, etc. There’s nothing wrong with seeking help for your marriage problems. In fact, I would think that a marriage is something that you would want to seek help to fix/save. Marriage counseling is supposed to be very helpful, as well. At the very least, it would help bring about some degree of closure, right? In the past few years I’ve been to maybe six or seven weddings. To think that half of those marriages will end up in divorce is crushing – the joy and happiness of each couple on their wedding day was almost tangible for every one. I just hope that they all make it. Every marriage will have problems, I just hope that they’ll have the strength and reasoning to seek marriage counseling or some other marriage counseling alternative such as marriage help books if things ever go south. When it’s something this serious, especially if kids are involved, you really need to try and make things work. It’s not just a legal contract, it’s a part of your identity.

moving companies

Graduation’s coming up! I get to look forward to so many things – getting a job, saying “screw you” to school, and moving out! I have no idea where I’ll end up moving, but I do know that wherever I go, I’m going to love it. Hopefully I’ll be able to move in with a friend or two and take a few years to enjoy myself and get settled into a new job. Moving though… such a hassle. I don’t really mind having to box things up and move them, but when it gets to be of this magnitude, it becomes really hectic. If I was just moving a room or two I could probably get it done myself in a day or two, but moving most of my things will probably require a truck rental or calling some moving companies. However! I really don’t know if I have enough to warrant using any of the moving companies around here when I could just get a few friends together and buy them food/beer. It’ll be infinitely cheaper, even with the truck rental. I just hope that there’ll be enough space in the new place (wherever it’ll be) for all of my stuff. Who knows. As long as I have room for my computer, a desk, and my videogames, I’ll be okay, haha. That, and my cooking stuff. Maybe I’ll grab one of those portable storage thingies. We could probably split the cost and then use it together. It’s more convenient that way, anyways. Is it “anyway” or “anyways”? I don’t think it really matters too much, but I’d really like to know. I think that anyway is more grammatically correct while anyways is more embedded in our vernacular. Ah crap. You know, the more I think about it, I’m starting to grow up. It sucks, haha. I just realized that what was once the best part about moving into a new place (awesome housewarming party!) is going to be something I will desperately try to avoid so that I can live somewhere respectable. Oh well. Exchanging one thing for the other, I guess. Now where’s that truck….

orlando investment property

Investing In Orlando Real Estate

Investing in Orlando Real estate has become quite a lucrative option because of many reasons. The region has a tourist based economy that attracts inward investment. Because of economic issues in Orlando, the real estate market is quite defensive. Both investment and demand come from within Orlando. The stability of the real estate market of Orlando makes it an attractive opportunity and the diversity in population adds up to the demand.

Downtown Orlando has transformed with the Historical Thornton Park district. It has turned out to be a good and attractive residential area because of the presence of elegant restaurants with lakes, shaded streets Antiques row and more varied development. Condos in downtown Orlando in Central Florida are proving to be a good option for you to invest. Condos have sprung up in East Orlando around the University of Central Florida. There are Industries and Commercial Parks that has big names. In this area, there are numerous housing projects providing residence to students, executives and employees. An added attraction of this place is the emergence of a new Mall and Shopping areas.

Walt Disney is located in Orlando, which is a popular tourist attraction all over the world and is a major cause for real estate investment in Orlando. In recent times, costs of houses and land property have seen an upward movement in Orlando. There are alluring properties at attractive prices in Orlando that are not easy to ignore. You can invest in buying a property in Orlando. It will add value to your property, so that later you can sell it at a better price and thus bring liquidity to yourself. You could even buy properties with a view of renting them. You can rent your property to regular tenants as well as to tourists. This way your income will keep rolling and you will earn manifolds in a few years.

There are few points to be kept in mind, before investing in Orlando Real estate . Do not invest money in costly purchases like electronics or furniture before sealing a deal of any property. If you invest in purchases through credit card, you increase your risk of credit worthiness. Most of the banks will refer to your bank balance, before approving any mortgage.

You should also avoid hopping from one job to the other. Sometimes lenders check your job history, to grant loans. If you keep swapping jobs, it will show that you are not stable at any job and hence will reduce your chances of getting a loan. You might also face difficulty, while applying for a loan due to an unstable career graph.

Lenders sometimes need to assess your loan package. If you keep shifting your money from one bank to the other, you might once again face problems. You need to produce bank statements of your savings, check accounts and liquid assets. Another factor that you should keep in mind is not to pay for property that you feel is overpriced.
You should keep all the above points in mind, when you are investing for the first time in Orlando real estate. However, the best way to learn is to go ahead and invest.

vacation rentals

Everyone my family decides to take a trip to a foreign country. We have visited every continent except Antarctica. It would not be very fun to visit that continent, but it would be exciting to tell everyone you went there. Anyway, I have physically stepped foot on each of the other six continents and I mean other than just time spent transferring at various airports. It is a fun family tradition. I have seen a lot of beautiful places and met even more interesting people along the way. Since we are traveling so far away for our trips, we like to stay at least for two weeks. This gives us a good amount of time to visit the country or neighboring countries if that is possible. Therefore, we like to find homes that we can use as vacation rentals. Hotels usually cost way too much and are too commercialized. We would much rather stay in a home that also provides a better perspective into the culture of the region. Although we do like to stay in nice places, we prefer to rent homes. The homes always seem to have that extra sense of culture that we enjoy experiencing as tourists. Plus, since we are there for two weeks, it enables us to settle down a little bit and feel at home as opposed to being in an empty hotel room. It was my sister’s idea a few years back. She hated that we always stayed in hotels which were usually in the cities and we never got to experience the feel of the countryside. My parents really liked the suggestion and decided to make it a priority on our trips to stay in a rental. If it was possible and within a reasonable distance, which in most cases it is easy to find vacation rental homes, we would stay in one of them. Ever since, our trips have been very enjoyable. We leave feeling more a part of the country than just some tourists who decided to stop by for a while. You appreciate the place more and really get a better sense of what life is like in that particular country. We try to cook and live in much the same conditions as a traditional native family.

Debt free

Recently I have been under a little bit more stress than I think I can handle.  I am currently still taking on my full time credit load at school, as well as running my newly opened Yoga Studio.  I know it may sound a little silly that the yoga instructor is stressed out, but any business owner in twice the debt consolidation and get myself to where I feel comfortable in my schedule.  It has always been part of my personality to worry about money and try my best not to become even remotely broke.  Now when I decided to go to college I knew I would chalk up a fair amount of debt.  At the same time I also knew that I wouldn't have to pay any of that off until I had a stable job that paid well.  When I decided to open up the studio during my junior year, was when I really began to have problems.  Now I have gotten to a point where I will either need to raise prices on my classes, get another job, or close the studio for my last semester.  So since this situation became apparent I have been working like a crazy person to use debt consolidation and get all of it under control.  Every week I go over my books and decide on how many days I should stay open at the studio, i need to be debt free.  From these session I also have to consider skipping some classes to pick up work shifts or hold more classes.  Needless to say, I have been on a bit of a roller coaster this year with all of the different pressures I've put upon myself.

university directory

This week I had a bit of trouble.  Between this week and next week is when all the teachers on campus give their midterms.  I don't know if that's how it is at other universities but here is is like clockwork.  The only problem for me came when I realized that I had all six of my midterms this week, the last of which is tomorrow.  I have been studying for all six of these finals for about two weeks straight.  With only one left, I don't feel any less stressed to my limit.  If anything I won't be able to calm down until I go to bed tomorrow night.  On wednesday I had the most major freakout I have had since I started school.  I was supposed to take my history exam but the professor had changed the room for the exam because there is construction going on in the building and they wanted to do something inside of our classroom.  So he had switched the location about two weeks ago.  In my infinite wisdom and countless hours of studying, forgot to remember or even write down the new building and room number.  So when I walked in to my classroom twenty minutes before the exam was set to start and it was filled with about ten construction workers and a cloud of white dust, I realized my error.  Since I commute by bike every day about ten miles, there was absolutely no way I was going to go home and get back in time to make the exam.  So I had to run to the library and frantically search through the university directory to find  my history professor's contact info.  After finding it and calling him about six times he finally picked up and told me where to be.  I got to the room only about ten minutes late and feel I actually did well on the test.  With all the other things I needed to think about this week, that was the last thing that I would have wanted to happen.  Now with one exam left for tomorrow I have stopped studying and have left it up to my own faith in the material because I need to get at least one good night of sleep this week.

left hand drive car

I was sitting in my college dorm room the other day when my roommate and I had the strangest discussion. The topic that so heavily occupied our interest on this particular rainy weekday afternoon had to do with driving cars. It was not a discussion of what car we like the best or which car can go the fastest. Instead, it was about driving on the right or  left hand side driving. We were curious as to which way seemed the most practical, or did it really matter in the first place. My roommate and I were watching a foreign film and we could not help but notice that the characters were driving on the right hand side of the road. It is a startling sight when you first make such an observation. You think cars are going to run into each other. Plus, if you take a quick glance, it looks like no one is driving the vehicle. Automatically, as a driver in the States, you expect to see the driver on the left hand side of the car. It does not add up otherwise since we are so readily exposed to something different. We knew in some foreign drivers drove on the other side, but it was just striking to actually see someone driving in this unusual fashion. Obviously, the two of us have always been exposed to a left hand drive car. It was rare to see something that contradicted the way we had always known; and, honestly, taken for granted. For some reason, we could not get over the fact that cars were going down the road in the opposite direction as we normally see on the highway. I would definitely have trouble driving a car on the other side of the road. The turning would be very awkward and unnatural compared to what I have been doing for so long. I do not know what I would do if the steering wheel was on the other side of my used left hand drive. Sadly, until we travel to one of these foreign places and get the opportunity to drive on the other side of the road we are doing to be stuck with our used lhd cars. That is definitely something to look forward to, however, when we do go overseas.

Spring break

I can’t wait for Spring Break. It’s not too far away now I guess, but I’m not going to follow up last year’s drinking fest quite so hard. A couple of years back I ended up totally drunk in Daytona Beach FL. with a couple of buddies, including none other than Nathan Billiton. It was a great couple of days, just a shame it didn’t really last much longer. Afterwards I just felt totally tired out as well – but I guess that’s what three days of seriously hard partying will do to you! I’m not one of those people who go on alternative Spring breaks like a Martin Luther King march (think that’s a little too serious) but I thought I’d do something a little more interesting than the traditional get wasted.

I’m going to head over to the UK with my girlfriend for a week. It’s not going to come cheap, but I love travelling and I’ve never been to the UK before, so I’m really looking forward to it. Nathan’s living over there as well at the moment, so hopefully I’ll be able have a couple of days in London – maybe we’ll get as wasted as a couple of years back! Or maybe not...

Compare hotel rates

This year has been so much fun.  I still have a few months left in the semester but I feel that it will be much of the same.  I never thought George Mason would be this fun the way all of my teachers and my parents told me about how different and how much more work I would have to do when I got there.  Now that I have been here for about six months I see that it is a lot of work, but it is also so much fun.  I am not a sports fan or a drama club kind of person, but I am a school person. I have found it to be so much more interesting to learn here what I never would have seen in any of my high school books.  There also the freedom that I feel from my parents and my childhood.  I am starting to feel like a real adult here.  Though my parents still pay all of my bills and call me once a week to make sure everything is going well, I still feel like I have a huge amount of responsibility on my shoulders.  I mean I have to make sure that I get all of my work done and that I don’t overcharge my Visa card and I don’t screw up any of my tests.  That is a huge responsibility compared to what I had to do last year.  Now I am even trying on a bigger responsibility; I am planning my first vacation for myself.  I told my parents that I would do everything from comparing hotel rates, to the actual hotel reservation.  So I have been using Google a lot. Once I have the whole trip I will turn over the bills to them and they will foot the whole bill.  I have never had to compare hotel rates or search for plane tickets so all of this will be a big learning experience for me.  I have even decided that I will try to do the responsible thing and try to find the best hotel deals so that my parents have less weight to bear for this trip.  I haven’t quite decided where I am going to go yet but I am sure that there are plenty of places for me to go in the world. I think I will consider Thailand.

debt consolidation

And since the circle continues, I start looking more and more into zero percent annual percentage rate balance transfers, more credit cards with low introductory APR, and so forth. As if I am not able to take an active approach and say, “I am not going to spend more until I earn more”, but, rather, just follow my desires, spend, and then resort to more and more debt consolidation. You feel powerless. Powerless in front of your own desires, lack of strong will, or whatever else that be. It is as if money indirectly, is a magnet that if you do not spend it, then you feel as if you missed something in your life. For a long period of time, I was not able to understand why a lot of times, women, especially, resorted to shopping therapy. I mean, I could not even understand what shopping therapy was. Now, having gone through some stressful moments in my life, and having experienced what those women usually experience (as I think), I understand that sometimes…in my case, often times…shopping therapy is really part of a huge vicious circle, where stress over lack of money and too much debt causes me to act unwillingly and resort to shopping therapy, spending more, getting more into debt. I realize, sometimes, debt is unavoidable, like, urgent car repairs, certain necessary travel, education, and so forth. However, when it is avoidable…again, how can I define “avoidable”? Is shopping therapy avoidable? Or, are the consequences of not resorting to this type of “treatment” worse…Do they cost more than the therapy itself? Or, is shopping therapy even therapy? How therapeutic it is? Is it more therapeutic than bill consolidation itself? And is debt help, like bill consolidation, even help? I wonder, frequently, what debt help does. I am sure that the obvious benefit is that it creates some sort of control in a person’s life – the person knows exactly how much he or she is going to be paying per month for all the incurred expenses. But a bit lower payment, is that control? Or is that another burden that, instead of being spread out is just all at once, consolidated?

Employee assistance

An employee assistance program can be a vital link in the chain that is your company’s wellness program.  With so many of today’s employees working in such close proximity to one another, conflicts and disputes are bound to happen.  There will occasionally be flareups and disagreements among employees.  Your firm’s employees may be like family, but families sometimes argue.  If it goes beyond a simple argument, outside intervention may be in order.  An employee assistance program can help.

An EAP program can provide psychological counseling to employees who may have interpersonal problems or other issues to work through.  If a supervisor sees an employee exhibiting signs of stress or some other turmoil, he or she can suggest the employee contact the EAP administrator for a referral to someone who can help.  It’s up to the employee whether or not they want to avail themselves of the help, but stressed out employees will usually grab onto an offered lifeline and willingly accept help.

An EAP has a list of EAP providers who can assist with whatever problems the employee may be experiencing.  Whether it’s divorce, chemical dependency, or they just need someone to listen, qualified help is always as close as the nearest telephone.

If your employees are experiencing problems at work, they’ll frequently take them home to their families – or bring family problems to work, which can result in potentially disastrous problems.  Providing EAP services to your employees makes good fiscal sense, because the cost is nominal, and the improved productivity of your employees as well as the boost to morale will make the financial cost seem like a prudent investment in one of your best assets – your human resources.

Once an employee receives a referral for EAP services, they’ll contact the provider, who will always be a well-trained professional who can listen and help with whatever is wrong emotionally or psychologically.  Whether your employee needs to vent or needs help with anger management issues, your professional EAP counselor can help return the affected employee to full productivity in no time.

To learn more how an EAP can be a welcome and cost-effective solution to your human resources problems, follow the link to EAP Quotes.

florida traffic school

Florida was a great place to grow up. But a crazy place to learn how to drive. Traffic is absolutely a nightmare in Miami. All of the crazy New York drivers move down there and honk at you the second a light turns green. They are ALWAYS in a hurry, how can you possibly live your life like that? Type A personality all the way. Then you combine that with the retirees and snowbirds, who are absolutely never in a hurry and do not particularly care if the New Yorker is blasting away on his horn, they will take their time come to nearly a complete stop before making a right. Of course, in the car with my dad, when I just had my Florida Learners Permit, I couldn’t show my impatience. I made that mistake once, griping about a little old lady, and he let me have it. ‘They are old, they are nervous, and by all means, son, do not rush them. They are not good at driving any more, you are just going to make it worse.’  It’s actually a great perspective; my dad can be really smart.

Another funny thing about florida and driving there is Florida Traffic School. There is now a florida online traffic school that you can do on the web. But when I was there, I got a ticket and had to go to traffic school. They basically read the Florida Drivers Handbook to you, it is so boring. I seriously did not learn one thing. But it was required and saved me some money and points off my license. There were some people taking the course that were not required, they just wanted to learn about driving in florida. Many people from Cuba and Puerto Rico--do they drive on the right or left there? I think only countries associated with the UK drive on the left, like Cayman Islands. Anyhow,  I wish I’d had an opportunity to take the course online, but the Florida DMV was not set up for that at the time. Florida traffic school was a complete waste of time in person, but online at least you could breeze through it.

project management software

Ugh I am so tired of using Microsoft excel, I have run my entire business using it for so long, you can only use so many macro’s eventually you just run up against the wall. Man if I could only find some project management software to make my life easier. Software can be so intimidating, you have to spend countless hours learning and reading, it is like you have to take 3 steps backwards to take one step forward. Why is that, here you are in need of solutions and what do people and companies have to do? Take 3 steps backwards, it is so counter intuitive. Why can’t people just create project management software that is truly easy to learn? I was looking at this project manager software and it is so complex, I mean it will take me 40 plus hours to learn the basics, and will probably take me 2-3 months to be able to actually become more faster at what I am currently doing using multiple spreadsheets. It is such a catch 22, I just feel overwhelmed. This is not new I realize that numerous companies go through this same issue, you have to slow down before you can continue to grow, well I just don’t want to do it, I want to grow my business now without stopping or slowing down to learn en entirely new software package. Can I not just have something easy to use that will offer project tracking? I mean really if I can just find some really easy to use project tracking or project management software to make running my business easy without spending countless hours trying to learn it, why can’t someone just make an attachment to Microsoft excel that is easy to use and will offer the project tracking that everyone needs? I have seen a web based project management software similar to excel but it is just hard to learn, this is so frustrating to small business owners trying to grow their business but without the time to learn an entirely new piece of software, so what happens they end up just staying with excel and fumbling through it rather then upgrading their software so long that they can become more effiecnt.

Sacramento apartments

Ok moving to Sacramento and I need to find a cheap apartment, going to be a chore but I am up for the task. I found a cool website that specializes in Sacramento Apartments, they have so easy search capabilities and can hopefully help me narrow m search, and I am looking for a 3 bedroom, with 2 baths and hopefully a balcony. I need a patio or balcony because I like to barbeque and require some outside space in order to cook outside like I so often do.  The problem is I want one of those Downtown Sacramento Apartments, where outside space is tight and trying to find the exact location I want with the balcony or patio is going to be hard. I may end up settling for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments as I need to have my outside space. I have always been sort of claustrophobic and need to have a little room to run and get fresh air this is one of the most important features of a new apartment for me.

I hope the weather in Sacramento will allow e to be outside often as I am really an outside person and would hate to be cooped up to often in Apartment in Sacramento.Sacramento apartments are not very abundant, kind of few and far between, I see lots of single family homes and town homes but very few apartments, and I hope I can find a good realtor to assist me in my latest move to Sacramento. I guess I am worried over nothing a big city like Sacramento will have plenty of apartments that will suit my needs and I will find a nice 3 bedroom 2 bat unit that has the out door space I require. I guess I should stop blogging about my concerns and just solve them!

Ok well I found the apartment, it is lovely in downtown Sacramento, and it is this cute little unit, with a patio and a sliding glass door. I am so excited I am going to go look at it tomorrow, I hope it is still available and I will sign the lease right away. Wish me luck!

houston real estate

My job appears to be taking me to Houston Texas, I am excited about the warm weather and warm people there, I am somewhat concerned about the Houston Real Estate market, and it seems to be somewhat shaky currently. Based upon the information I have read the Houston Texas Real Estate market is in a down swing, although things appear to be looking up. My wife found a bunch of Houston Realtors in the Central Houston Real Estate area and we will be going to look at homes next week. I really do not want to go all the way to Houston Texas to only rent a home, the Houston Homes for rent section of the Houston Daily news had very few homes and I am not really a fan of renting, but with the Houston Realestate market being so unstable I am not sure if we should just get one of those Houston Condo’s or what? I am excited about my new job opportunities and just need to get this real estate issue resolved. It is really weighing in on me, and I do not want it to negatively impact my job performance once I arrive in Houston. I have been searching on Google for reliable real estate agents and found a company with great reviews Houston Memorial Real Estate, they seem like people that you can trust and they understand what it is like to move across the country and not know exactly what real estate I am looking for and that I am new to the Houston Real Estate Market and need guidance on whether I should get a Houston Condo, or rent a home in Houston or do as I believe I need and get one of those beautiful homes by Houston Medical Center Real Estate, they are by far the nicest homes in the Houston Texas area and I think with the money I made selling my home in California I can afford one of those really nice homes.
I wish the Houston Texas real estate market was more like California’s real estate market because I would then have a clear understanding of whether I should look at Houston Condos or Houston homes for rent or just dive in and buy me one of those sweet homes in Houston Heights Real Estate. I am sure I will be fine and land on my feet as I always do.

Prevage MD

For the longest time I have really been showing my age, until recently I have tried all sorts of creams and gels to help reduce the lines around my eye’s and forehead which are really just ugly and show my age. I have finally found the end all be all, it is called prevage md this stuff really works, after reading online about the benefits of new super antioxidant ingredient known as idebenone (pronounced eedy-be-known) (that neutralizes destructive free radicals that form in the skin in response to the sun's UV rays), which really help reduce the signs of aging. I have really seen my wrinkles and fine lines disappear.

Prevage md is the first product of it’s kind which has really done for me what I have been looking for remove the signs of aging from my face that have been getting worse in recent times, I have tried all the skin care products from everyone, Revlon, Youth spa, Mary Kay and no results, I mean I may as well of just been putting moisturizer on my face. Now I have the Prevage md I will never buy any of those other so called anti aging creams again. I have my product, I would highly recommend this product to anyone trying to look younger, and the creams really work. It must be something, because this product is ONLY being distributed from select authorized medical offices. You cannot just buy this at any drug store, it is strong and really works so unless you can find one of the few authorized sellers of this product your out of luck.

Most recently I found a great compliment to the Prevage MD it is called Clarisonic this is a skin care system which helps maintain the results of the Prevage md, I use the Prevage md 2-3 times and week and I prefer to use the Clarisonic everyday, Clarisonic is more of a daily skin care program designed to keep your skin happy. The combination of these two products has shaved 10 years off my face and I can see my results it will keep it off. We are not talking about short term solutions; we are talking about long term age defying results. I recommend these products to anyone serious about improving the look and feel of their skin and whom are serious about turning back the clock and making their skim come alive again.

eyelash extensions

Guest blogging by my 17 year old cousin. sheesh. Oh I have got a hot date tonight and I am concerned about my eyelash extensions, they are not looking very tidy. I have always gone round and round on these false eyelashes, and whether I really need them my eye lashes are already quite nice and generally I do not wear lash extensions, but for special occasions I try to look my best and when they are top quality eyelash extensions and put on with the proper eyelash adhesive, they really do make me look more attractive.

I tell you I am so looking forward to this date with Steve, he is a real estate agent in the Houston Texas area and has had his eye on me for sometime, he finally got the nerve up to ask me out on a date and I am really upset with the way my eye lashes have looked? I asked some of my friends and they explained that it just may be the eyelash adhesive glue that I am using, so I guess I need to go find a better brand so my eyelash extensions really look hot.

OK so I am back from the store and I got the super high end eyelash extensions and eyelash adhesive glue, man what a difference my lash extensions now look natural thank you Joy for telling me it was the eyelash adhesive glue, I would have kept trying new eyelash extensions, without ever knowing it was actually the eyelash adhesive.

Well now I am confident to go out on my date with Steve and have a great time. My lashes look hot they are neat and clean and make my eyes sharp. I am certain Steve will appreciate these lash extensions I have on and how real they look, as it is my neighbor saw them and could not say enough about how real they looked, I am so excited, I need to tell all my friends how important the eyelash adhesive really is, do not skimp on this part because it will really make those lash extensions look fabulous.

laser epilayson

LAZER EPİLASYON HAKKINDA MERAK EDİLENLER
LAZER NEDİR?
Lazer en gelişmiş ve en son ışık kaynağıdır. Laser kelimesi “Light amplifieation of stimulated emission of radiation”(uyarılmış ışın neşriyle ışık kuvvetlendirilmesi) cümlesinin kısaltmasıdır.

UYGULAMA SONRASINDA KILLARIN DURUMU NASIL SEYREDER?

Down comforters

This year for christmas I got a new bedroom set for my girlfriend. This seems like it may be a bit goofy to some people, but for ther it is like her life. When I met her, one of the first this I knew about her was that she loved down comforters. I think I learned her name next. She is just the type of person who loves to be comfortable in every possible situation. She loves her clothes to be comfortable, she loves her home to be comfortable, and she especially loves a comfortable bed. So this year I decided to get her exactly what she wanted. I went to her favorite store in the mall and ask the sales rep to show me the beding set that they had. He showed me a few different things and I just needed him to decide. I told him that I just need to get the most comfortable set that had down comforters in it. I didn't care what the price was, I just wanted to make sure I got the most comfortable set. He sold me a three bag set which he had to help me carry to my car. On christmas eve, she went to work for the day. I hadn't told her that I had taken the day off. When she left I took off her old covers and sheets, and replaced them with the ones I had bought the day before. I couldn't help my self when it was all done. I layed under the down comforters and let my head just sink in to the pillow. The next thing I realized, she was standing in the doorway asking me what I was doing. I had slept the whole day away in her new set of sheets. I got out a dreamy "Merry Christmas" and tried to explain the whole thing. She didn't mind the detail, she was just obviously excited about the present I had gotten her. She said it was her favorite gift out of all the other things she got from her family. I also felt that I have never done quite as good a job of picking a gift as this one.

health insurance

Recently I completed my internship for my major.  I am working on
my degree in secondary education so I had to work with older kids in a
somewhat diverse atmosphere.  I decided to work at the youth shelter
for high school aged students.  My internship was only for about two
weeks but the amount of experiential learning I'm taking out of the job
is invaluable.  My job was to help out with some small responsibilities
around the house, as well as engaging in one on one counseling of the
students.  One kid, Alex, was the one I spent most of my time working
with and talking to.  Alex was about to graduate from high school and
would not be going on to college.  Part of the job of the shelter is to
help the kids to get on their feet before they walk out the door. They
can stay for up to six months after they are done with school, but most
try to leave right away.  So I got to be a part of Alex's team that
was getting him prepared for the real world.  The task at hand while I
was there was the issue of health insurance and medical insurance.  Part
of getting him ready to buy medical insurance was to help him
understand the different types and benefits of different health insurance
plans.  Since none of the kids in the shelter were insured by their parents,
the shelter provided temporary medical insurance and temporary health
insurance plans for the first three months of their independence from
the house.  We sat Alex down and discussed all of his options with the
temporary insurance and possibly purchasing some   short term health
insurance and short term medical insurance until he could get a good job.
We also talked to him about his decision about not going to college
and the effects it could have on his insurance possibilities later.  The
director gave me a long fact sheet to show him about how emergencies
without insurance accounts for half of the bankruptcies and creates a
huge financial risk that is cheaply quelled.  It was interesting to see
his reactions to these issue because he seemed to have been well
conditioned by the atmosphere of the house to accept our advice. I find myself
hoping that when I teach I can have kids like Alex in my class.

premium tea

One of my favorite soothing rituals is my daily tea. Wrapping my fingers around the warm cup, breathing into the cup and feeling the warmth spread over my face. The scent of the leaves, whether a spicy chai or a traditional black tea or a chamomile, it is comforting and warm and I love it.
Now I have not been a tea drinker for long, I am jumping on the bandwagon along with everyone else as tea becomes more and more popular. My girlfriend taught me to love tea, and I admit I did not think it was very masculine at first-- (and who would have thought i'd be cooing about the  soothing ritual!).  But the health benefits of green tea are what first piqued my interest. The antioxidants in tea help balance your body, help prevent cancer. Green Tea and its close relative, White Tea, can both promote weight loss, as well as control cholesterol.
I am currently working on weening myself off of sodas completely, and it is really as hard as one would think.  I brew a pitcher of green tea and keep it in my fridge, so I can have it iced as well. I prefer to drink it sweetened, and the natural sweetener Stevia blends quite nicely with tea.  Honey in my warm tea is nice too.
I never put milk in my tea until I was in London last summer. Sounded disgusting to me, but when in Rome.... and I actually enjoyed it. This was a strong English tea, flavorful, and I could see it replacing a morning cup of coffee.
The thing about tea (and coffee.  and wine.  and chocolate) is that there is a big difference in storebought Lipton and a true premium tea. My girlfriend orders her tea online, and now I see why. Or rather I taste why. It just matters, it is nearly like a different beverage when you have quality fresh tea leaves. I have tried buying in bulk and using a tea ball instead of bags, but I am still a spoiled American and like the convenience of bags. The organic tea she paid a little more for was nice, but flavor-wise not all that different.  No pesticides is nice though.
Sometimes a trend is worth following, and I expect the "tea trend" is just hitting.

Cheap flights

International travel is positively one of my favorite things to do. OK so I've only been to Europe once and Mexico once. Europe with family, and Mexico for Spring Break. But I did leave the party scene in Cancun long enough to really explore some offbeat sights in Mexico, and just being in another culture really does change you a little bit. But with flights to Europe as expensive as they are, I think that is really not bad for a 19 year old. Some people wait their whole life to take one big trip to Europe. At least Americans. It's a shame that Americans do not travel the way Europeans do.

So I seriously intend to go as often as I can for the rest of my life, the experience is just so enriching and enlightening. The thing is to get hooked into student flights, which are cheaper. You have to have a valid student ID, but a student flight to paris can cost less, not much less, but still..... Airfares to Europe are sometimes cheap and sometimes expensive, so I shop around. With student airfare discounts, I see some bargains now and then, but of course I have finals right when the bargains are around. These days it can be tricky to plan international travel. Then during Spring Break, cheap flights are nowhere to be found. I find deals to fly back home, but that is all East Coast. Especially for international flights, the deals seem to come in spurts, and any day now I'm going to catch one.

So should I go to Europe? Rome. Paris. London. The biggies. Done them all. Yes this was a big trip to Europe. Not a student flight at that time, just a big group trip. I don't recommend one of those big tours really, especially if you are young. But my family wanted to do it. I found the schedule too... well... scheduled. I wanted to skip some parts and stay at other places longer. But the tight itinerary does allow you to get all the big sights in a short time. International airfares for 4 of us cost $4000, can you even believe that? But since I wasn't paying, it didn't really sink in how expensive it can be.

I think Turkey. I have a friend with an apartment in Turkey, and that is a hotspot travel destination for Europeans, and still cheap. Anyone been to Turkey?

Prepaid credit card

Money is great. It’s actually my favorite. My favorite what? I don’t know, just my FAVORITE. What’s great about money today is that it comes in so many forms. You can give someone cash, a gift card, a prepaid credit card, a virtual credit card, a check, etc. It’s pretty amazing, if you think about it. Having the ability to send money from one place to another almost instantly with a virtual credit card is amazing. The fact that you can hold so much money in a piece of plastic that is easily transferable and “giftable” is great, too. Gift cards are always nice, especially if it’s to your favorite store. A prepaid credit card, especially a prepaid Visa card, is a little bit nicer though, lol. It is basically the same idea as a gift card. You put a set amount on the prepaid credit card and give it to whoever you want to. If it’s a prepaid Visa card, then you can use it anywhere Visa is accepted, just like any other Visa credit card (only this has a set limit/amount of course). I mean, I got a few gift card from stores that I shop at constantly (American Eagle, Microcenter, etc.), but getting a prepaid Visa card gives me a bit more flexibility in what I want to spend and where. Another difference here is that you usually can not use a gift card online, but if you shop on eBay or other online sites regularly, you can always use a prepaid Visa card or whatever prepaid credit card is accepted by that site. I like to buy clothes online on Karmaloop.com, simply because I can’t find those clothes anywhere else. They accept a bunch of prepaid credit cards, but I almost always use a prepaid Visa card there. Another thing about prepaid credit cards is that a name is pretty much never attached to them, so they’re also like an anonymous credit card which is great in that no one can steal your identity with them. Add in the fact that each card can only hold a set amount of money and you’re safe from any sort of identity theft. If you have a credit card and are buying things online and want this kind of safety, you can buy a virtual credit card from a site like www.www-card.com. You basically buy a virtual credit card (like a prepaid credit card) that you can use yourself or “send” to someone. It has a limit on spending, so if it is “stolen”, then your anonymous credit card can’t exceed that amount, which is much safer than if someone had gotten your “real” card. Anyways, read up on whatever you like, but think about it!

Modeling auditions

There are always talent agencies around any city of size, if there is any level of performing arts industry in that city. As an actor who's trying to get started in the business of performance, these talent agencies often seem like a good place to start. After all, they will get your name out to casting directors, won't they? They will send you on big film auditions and theatre auditions with professional local companies, right? They'll distribute your headshot and your resume, make phone calls for you, put in a good word for you, find you gigs, and just generally be looking to get you work - won't they?

The thing is, I imagine a lot of actors who go to register with these talent agencies imagine something a lot different than what they're getting. They are having visions of Joey's talent agent in Friends, Esther or Estelle or whatever her name is, sitting behind a desk, puffing away at a cigarette, and giving Joey a call to send him on casting auditions or get him gigs.

But that's a talent agent. That's being one of a relatively small number of clients that the agent knows well, relatively speaking, and that the agent expects to get a pretty big kickback from - because the agent believes that actor has potential to get cast, and is willing to put the time in to find him or her, say, movie auditions for A-list movies. It's worth the trouble to them because the payoff could be so big.

These talent agencies work with small-time actors and they aren't interested in knowing you personally. It's because they have so many actors registered with them that they have to assume everyone's a beginner, a relatively no-talent schmoe. And that may not be true, but how are they going to sit there and sort out the real thing from all the chaff: the stage moms who want to register their toddlers for baby modeling, the starry-eyed squealing sixteen year old girls who want to be sent on auditions for teens for TV shows and end up on Buffy or something...there's just no way they're going to spend that time. So you may get gigs from these talent agencies, yes, but will they be particularly high-profile? Appropriate for you? Most of them will be commercials, extras in movies filmed locally, and small-time modeling. Good supplementary income for an actor, but you're not going to break into the biz that way.

Insurance Quotes

Looking over previous entries, I realized I’ve written a lot about insurance lately. It’s still something that seems strange to me. You’d think, at almost 22, I would feel more adult – more initiated into that world. But I don’t. I feel there are still some occult secrets, like insurance quotes, tax forms, credit cards, car ownership, and so on, that I haven’t been let in on yet. I just got my all-important sideways driver’s license the other day. Is that my pass?

One of my dearest friends moved to New York City five or six months ago. That seems frightening, like throwing yourself into the adult baptismal pool where you must learn the secrets immediately, be baptized in adulthood, and emerge shining, a golden Adult. She’s just a year older than I am. Maybe she’ll pass the handbook down to me when she’s done memorizing it.

I’m not afraid of very many things, I think. I’m not afraid to be a starving artist, for instance. I’m not afraid to travel abroad, like my roommate is. And though I said my friend’s move to NYC sounds scary, I don’t mean in the sense that I wouldn’t do it myself. There are just these things to learn, and you don’t quite know how to learn them, and what if you overlook something? What if you get car insurance and home insurance but forget about some other important kind of insurance, like the health insurance? What if there’s something you just don’t know about at all? My friend says both he and his parents didn’t know that you could take out loans to go to school, and that’s why he ended up at the University of Pittsburgh – he thought he just flat-out couldn’t afford anything more expensive.

That is scary to think about: that there might be a time when you, as a golden Adult, don’t know something that Adults are Supposed To Know. Like about loans for college. Or what if you didn’t pay your taxes right, or on time, or whatever, not out of negligence, but just because you didn’t know?

No wonder my NYC friend is taking such a long time with that handbook.

South Tyrol

Oh wow! I was looking online for stuff to do next summer and I came across this awesome website: http://www.hotel-interski.com/english/hotel . It is basically the website for a small chain of hotels: Hotel val Gardena, Hotel Dolimites, and Hotel South Tyrol, all of which look absolutely BEAUTIFUL. These look like super high-class places, and the views that each have are spectacular. Actually, I am looking over it now and all of these amazing things are part of ONE hotel, not three. Amazing. It seems that the location of the hotel is in the valley Val Gardena, which is either a part of South Tyrol or South Tyrol is part of Val Gardena. Anyways, the pictures of Val Gardena are spectacular. It really looks super green and the people there look very happy. The hills and valleys are a great lush green and the flowers are spread all over. From the hotel Val Gardena is just outside, and it offers a lot to see and experience. From the hotel South Tyrol is all around, so I am sure that you could find something to do - they have hotel excursions and guides that will take you to see things you would otherwise never knew existed. This hotel looks really great. The website is very professional and functional, and the fact that they have it in English is very reassuring. From the hotel Dolomites are in view. The Dolomites really look beautiful from the pictures they have up on the site, and they say they are great for hiking, which I believed before they even said it, haha. The website also says that in the winter, the Dolomites in South Tyrol hold a huge ski carousel, and that it holds around 1200 kilometers of ski slope. Holy crap!
Ah okay. I just looked up info on Val Gardena and South Tyrol. South Tyrol is another name for the province of Bolzano-Bozen, which is an autonomous province in Italy. Val Gardena is a part of it, and the hotel Dolomites are actually a part of the main alpine chain of the Alps. Ooooh, fancy!
Hm, I am looking again at the hotel website (http://www.hotel-interski.com/english/hotel) and they offer five different rooms at different rates. These rooms each look really great, and the rates seem to be not too bad. I just hope that when I try to go I will have made reservations in time.

Real Estate

"Invest real estate." That has been on my mind for so long right now. With graduation coming up, I've been looking at all sorts of ways to make money in the "real world". I've talked to some friends and we've thought about doing some sort of real estate investing. I think that realestate investing is a pretty straightforward idea, and would be pretty easy for me since my family has a home improvement business. It just seems so simple! A real estate investment is a sound one to me. People will ALWAYS need a place to live, and the better looking a home is, the more likely it is to sell. Since it is a competitive market, realestate investing is not really for lazy people I guess, but if you have motivation and drive, I can not see where you could lose. Buying low, fixing a place up a bit, and then selling for a profit can't go wrong! Since the market over here has a lot of houses up for sale, it'd be really easy to find a good real estate investment. A small group of my friends at college come from out of state, but they've told me that the Florida real estate around where they live is really nice too. Wow. Florida. It is pretty crazy to know that the same rules of business apply basically wherever man lives. If the market here were to slow down, I could probably start realestate investing in another state or whatever and not really have to change much about how I go about doing it. Sure, there may be a few differences in how things are done, but the main idea is the same. I have been looking online and found http://www.realestateusa.com/main.php . This website is pretty great - it has a lot of information about real estate investing. It also has a listing of available properties, realestate investing information, office locations, and even sections dealing with financing and insurance! It really makes me feel like there is a big big opportunity in realestate investing and that there is a great network of people to work/collaborate with. Being able to invest real estate would be a great opportunity to make a good lump of money. Anyways, just check out http://www.realnetusa.com/main.php and think about it!

Credit cards

Bad Credit Credit Cards, Business Credit Cards, Student Credit Cards can be applied for at GettingaCreditCard.com.

So now that I’m about to graduate, I’m getting pretty excited about getting to spend all of my new income, haha. I was looking for a website where I could apply for credit card online. After getting a credit card offer from my bank, I’ve been looking at all sorts of credit card applications online and credit card offers. I’ve actually been getting a lot of information from gettingacreditcard. . They have a credit card comparison tool and have a lot of information about bad credit cards, business credit cards, and student credit cards. I think that student credit cards would make most sense for me now, but for the future I guess I need to look at and consider all the credit card offers I can. Another good thing about www.gettingacreditcard.com is the fact that you can fill out a credit card application online instead of having to wait for credit card applications in the mail. Know about available credit card offers and watch out for bad credit cards! Check out the info and maybe fill out a credit card application online at http://www.gettingacreditcard.com, credit cards are useful for all college students, they can fill out credit card applications for Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. I am so pleased with the low interest rates offer and the top quality service and the fast delivery of my new credit cards, what a great credit card deal I got.

Endowments

Do you need Endowment Selling, Endowment Policies, endowment sales, endowment surrender & TEPS Now that I'm looking at graduation, I see that I'm going to really be 100% financially independent. It's a bit crazy. Not only that, but soon I'll be dropped from my parent's auto and health insurances, which worries me juuuust a tad. Anyways, I was looking at insurance info and started looking at life insurance stuff, which I apparently know less about than I thought. I saw something called an endowment policy– they’re basically policies that last for a fixed amount of time. Most are like 10 to 20 years, but the thing is you pay your premium and get a payout amount (your endowment) either when you finish the policy or if you die. It’s pretty crazy to think about, but it sounds like a pretty cool thing. This way you don’t necessarily have to expire in order to get a payout, lol. I wonder how many people have endowments and endowment policies. Anyways, I started reading more about it and apparently if you need to cash out your endowment policy early, you can. It’s called endowment surrender/endowment sale, where you pretty much sell your endowment back to the company at a lowered price based on time left on the policy and the market. Apparently selling endowment policies is pretty common, though I wondered how you could go and sell endowments. I found a website http://www.endowmentexpress.co.uk that can show you how to sell endowments/sell endowment policy. This site is actually pretty cool, because it shows that when you sell endowment policy, you can sell to people and not just the company. Selling endowment policies this way will usually net you more money than and endowment surrender/endowment sales to the company because people will still get a good deal by taking over where you left off on the time scale. These second-hand endowment policies are called TEPS (traded endowment policies). This all seems really legit. Endowment sales/selling endowment policies/TEPS seems like a legitimate business venture, even. Maybe something I should consider…? Anyways, check out the site I was looking at if you want to see some more info about endowment policies and all that, or even if you’re going to sell endowments. http://www.endowmentexpress.co.uk Let me know how it works out for you!

Dubai Apartments

I really need to get out of here, haha. I’m 22 and have not really been able to get out of Virginia to travel. Sure, I went to Korea for a few months, but that’s pretty much it. There are so many places in the world that I have yet to experience and see – Brazil, Japan, Spain, France, India, etc. One place that I have heard a lot about lately but have never really thought about is actually Dubai. Not really from friends but more from around the internet and all. All I really knew about it before was that it was located somewhere in the United Arab Emirates. I hear that the Dubai hotels and Dubai hotel apartments are spectacular. I have seen pictures of Dubai beach hotels and my jaw just dropped. Not only does it look pristine, the people there are all freaking beautiful, haha. Well anyways I started looking more into it lately and have been fiddling around Google. I found this site: http://dubaifurnishedapartments.com/ . It is a pretty neat site. It is basically a listing of available Dubai hotels, most of which are five-star hotels. Amazing. These hotels look really incredible, and they are all pretty much near everything you would ever want to be around, haha. There are also links to places where one might want to stay a little longer with spending a little less under the “self-catering apartment” section; Dubai apartments, Dubai vacation rentals, etc. There is a section for renters to put up their own properties too. I was looking through some of the Dubai villa rentals and wow. These are seriously nice. I never knew that this place of the world was so so so nice. Actually, one thing that struck me about this website is just how high quality it is and how each and every property has such nice photos of it up. I have a feeling the next vacation I take might have to be in Dubai, haha. Anyways, if you are interested, or at least want to see some amazing pictures of a place you have never been, check it out. http://www.dubaifurnishedapartments.com .

Design Templates

Use Flash Intros to improve your corporate identity using the best web design templates. So I was looking around Myspace today and came to grips with the fact that my site was so painfully vanilla. I thought it would be cool to keep things simple, but it seems like everyone and their moms have better sites than I do. I took some IT101 and tried to code a few cool things myself, but it seems like all of the really good stuff is more advanced. I have thought about using some sort of web templates or web design templates to fill the gaps of knowledge I have, but I couldn’t really find a good site with good web templates until recently. http://www.bestweb-templates.com/. I know it sounds a little generic, but I’ve found the best web templates there. They have so many different ones, it is insane. I never thought to buy web templates, but these are actually pretty good. They are the best web templates I have seen on the web so far. They even do flash intros and everything – these are really like… professional templates, not amateur things that you or I could put together (unless you’re… a professional). I am actually thinking that I should buy a few, since they’re the best design templates I’ve seen at their price, and the fact that they’re FULL SITE templates, not just page by page. It is actually a pretty good deal considering the time and frustration it’d cause me to try and do myself, haha. I could get one of the professional templates with a flash intro to be all “this is our corporate identity” using PHP-Nuke themes to automatically update news and data, etc. on the site. Very nifty. I am telling you, some of the best design templates I have seen online. Not only that, they have personal and music web templates, too, which look great. I guess I will probably spend part of my next paycheck on a few full site templates – a professional template, a music web template, and a personal one, too. Haha, maybe I will get a flash intro for my myspace, too. Whooshhhhhaaaaa, welcome to Jae’s muh-muh-muh-myssspaaaceeeeeeeee. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooot. Awesome! Best web templates ever! Cheap, too! http://www.bestweb-templates.com!!!!!!!!!

Cheap Laptops

Man, my laptop broke, and I called a buddy of mine who know everything about computers, I had not spoken to him in a while. I went over to his apartment and he helped me fix my cheap laptop. We got into talking about his experiences graduating from school and entering the real world.

Wow, I had a great meeting with an old friend of mine; he graduated from Baylor University and was first in his class. He is now a VP at a fortune 500 company and doing really well for himself. He spent countless hours working in his education so he could start at the top. He now has his MBA and it making some serious coin.

He had some great stories to tell about business today and how the business landscape is changing rapidly. People are now entering the workforce today with staggering educations; they have everything from elaborate executive education degrees to multiple major MBA s. He wanted to make me aware of the stiff competition in the business world today. His advice was to stay in school and make sure you’re prepared to compete with these highly recruited graduates. He recommended getting leadership training, management training and eCommerce training in addition to the education I am getting at school now.

He was also clear that corporate management is quite finicky now, and with the new cheap laptops style of doing business, means that one day your management team around you is all on the same page as you and the next day half of the management team is gone and your now surrounded by a team of people who do not agree with your thoughts and idea’s and are now against you.

It is fascinating how business has become as much like politics as anything else. The world is changing and the bureaucracy has spread to business throughout the world. .

Hong Kong Inventory

Selling Electronic Components is not hard but finding a reliable website where you can buyActive Component, Passive Component, and IC and Semiconductors at the best website for sourcing products http://www.hkinventory.com . So I was looking at video game stuff and searched for "HK inventory" to check out the latest designs from the company which supplies my beloved Rainbow Six team. Lo and behold I click a link and stumble upon http://www.hkinventory.com/public/Home.asp . It would seem like I had reached success, but I actually stumbled upon a really cool other kind of success, lol. Its a really cool site that does electronic component sourcing. Its basically a parts inventory online that leads you to a supplier directory. There are a load of suppliers, and I was looking for parts for this bot I am building and found both the active and passive component I was looking for. I found a China supplier that got IC and semiconductors, etc. direct from a China manufacturer and pretty much just put in my order. It is amazing. It can only be described as like an electronic component marketplace stock trade lead whatever type deal. It is very sweet. You can buy from so many different suppliers online its insane. If you are a seller/distributor, you can put up YOUR parts inventory to sell lots of those active component/passive component/IC and semiconductor doohickeys that we all need but can not make, haha. Check it out if you need any of that stuff! http://www.hkinventory.com/public/Home.asp

Weight Loss

As many of you guys probably know, I am working on a weight loss program for myself. Right now I am shooting for the weight loss goal of about 40 lbs total, from 240 to about 200. Right now, after 3 months, I am down to 225, which I think is great, especially since it is not just a flash in the pan weight loss thing, but I am actually keeping it down.

I use one video program thing and play a lot of soccer to do so. I am probably going to have to start running more to get better results, but a key source of information I have is the internet. I use a few sites, but the one I use most is a weight loss portal It is full of weight loss information and ideas, as well as lots of things about general health. Even though the site url sounds kind of really gung ho macho, it is a very intelligent site with lots of general health information that follows the newest research. Not only that, it gives a lot of information on things that are not discussed on other sites, which gives it a bit more completeness on health and weight loss than other sites may. One great thing about their articles is that they almost always CITE SOURCES! It is actually pretty amazing that a modern day site does so, lots of other sites do not. That gives this weight loss and health site a bit more credibility than others do.

Weight loss is a big issue for me. Those of you who knew me in high school knew I was a big guy, but was very light and quick on my feet. After moving back home from VCU, I began to really put on the weight, and now look almost nothing like how I did 3 years ago. Yeah, that needs to change. I have to do this for myself. Weight loss is not just some weird hippy thing, it is a very important part of keeping yourself healthy and strong. If you weigh a good amount, then you should be fine, but once you go over that, you start to experience the ill effects. Weight loss is not very easy, though, and in my experience I have found that losing around 2-3 lbs a week is a very good target, though some weeks you may find yourself losing 1-2 lbs, which is also great. It takes a lot of patience, dedication, and time. Weight loss is something you have to do - no one else will do it for you. You really have to take initiative and break yourself in order to do so. It takes a lot of discipline and dedication to keep going at it, too, especially when you start to plateau. The site has a lot of good info for you and you should really use it. Not only when you plateau, but throughout your entire weight loss plan, before, during, and even after. Health is not a concern only when you are losing weight - it should be a priority even when you are healthy. Anyways, check out the site, and check out all of the links, especially the featured articles. It will be a great help in your weight loss goals.

Barack Obama

It seems today that all of the news on TV is either about Hillary or Barack Obama, and about who is going to nail the primary. With Obama as the first black and Muslim presidential candidate that has seen such success, it probably won't be too crazy to predict the headlines. The more liberal states? "Obama New York, Obama California, Barack Obama Ohio. I wonder how the local media in each state portrays him. I've seen plenty of coverage here about Obama   in the news, but I wonder how the media portrays him as an individual in the various states. I'm sure there are differences between the northern and southern states - Texas Obama probably is not seen the same as Barack Obama Illinois. I would think that a media slant exists in the traditionally conservative states, and that race is made to be more of an issue there, even behind the scenes or in an unspoken fashion. Who knows, though, how Florida Obama differs from his reputation  in other states. Florida is always one of the key states, a few years ago that big big deal was made in florida about Bush stealing the election from Gore. Gore really did win the popular vote! And in which states do we see more Barack Obama shirts on the streets? I have yet to see a Hilary shirt, but Barack obama shirts are out there, especially on campus. Actually, it seems like the division isn't so much North versus South anymore. Although I really have noticed, along with the rest of the country, how focused the campaigning is on specific states.  I wish the candidates did not have to game the system the way they do, I wish the candidates would just talk to us about their qualifications and their values and their plans for this country.Barack Obama does seem to try to do this, when you hear him speak you do hear his passion. But campaigns will remain state driven for now unfortunately.

Online backgammon

The other day in my Middle Eastern studies class, the professor began the class with an overhead image. The picture on the screen was of a Backgammon game being played out by two computer players at a moderate pace. After about three or fours minutes of the game going silently she began the professor began to speak. She began this lesson and gave us the findings of several archeological digs that showed the origins of Backgammon to be from Persia, modern Iran, and Egypt. Most of the people on the class had never even played backgammon and so were a bit shocked to find that the game they though died out with their grandparents' youth, is actually a game that has been developing for over twenty-five hundred years. Though the lesson switched gears and went back in to the stricter history, the first segment was lodged in my brain. I went home from class and did a little research on my own. I started out by looking in to the history and found exactly what she had been talking about. Though the original game of backgammon may not have included dice in Egypt or Iran, but the version found in Sumar had the tetrahedral dice we have today. Now all modern versions have developed with dice as one of their core similarities. It is really cool to think that it began as a game played on stone and moved to leather around fifteen hundred years ago. Then within the last hundred years, the game went from primarily wood boards, to the online backgammon services we see today. I have actually started trying to play the game in some of these online forums because as i said before, most people I know have never even seen a backgammon board let alone ever played a game. The hardest part of this for me has been learning the rules. Since there are four different versions of backgammon that I have found online backgammon and all of the rules differ in some way, it has been difficult trying to find a good strategy for each one.

italy apartments

On a trip to Italy last summer, a friend and I met some really neat people. The people in Italy are a truly genuine group and Italy apartments and Italy villas are the most beautiful reasonably priced accommodations I have ever seen. It is like being on another planet from the one in which we live. The crime is low and people are friendly and open and willing to help others. My friend and I both speak Italian fluently, so we had no trouble communicating with the people there. We spent a month traveling to Rome, Venice, Tuscany and Sardinia. We each had a little summer fling while we were traveling which made the trip all the more interesting. There is nothing like being romanced by an Italian man, that is all I have to say on the subject. They are very chivalrous and deep. Well, quite a change from what I see hear on campus everyday.

Tuscany is a beautiful land, but a little less active then I would like. The people were friendly and the food was good, but a little lame. Lots of rolling hills, and old cottages and castles and winding roads. It was a great place to walk around and look, but it got old really quick.

Rome was a little more touristy and I really enjoyed getting to see the Colosseum. It was truly amazing. My dad is an architect and I know that he would love to have seen this incredible piece in person. I was in awe. Rome is so metropolitan compared to Tuscany, the difference is like night to day. I am more a cosmo girl, so this was more the place for me. Lots of tourists and hustle and bustle, it was nice to see that Italy offered both.

We were told we would have to check out the Sardinia villas and Sardinia apartments. So we added a few extras days to our trip and ventured to Sardinia, an Italian island . Here we saw some of the most beautiful beaches and water. The water was from a distance like someone colored it. When you got up close, it was actually clear enough to see your feet. It was beyond amazing as were the accommodations. We were both glad we took the opportunity to see Sardinia while in Europe. It actually became our favorite part.

Tuscany apartments

If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit Italy, be certain that you see some of the highlights of this beautiful country.

Tuscany is known as the "cradle of the Renaissance" and has brought the world some of its most famous people, especially in the fields of art and literature. Michelangelo, Leonard da Vinci and Dante, to name just a few. History abounds in Tuscany and your visit should include stops in Florence and Siena. Chianti and Montepuciano wines are produced in Tuscany and much of this wine is exported to the United States for our enjoyment.

Of course, you would never be in Sicily long enough to see very many of their famous historic sights, but you should be certain to visit at least a few so you will learn some of the rich history of the areas you are visiting. If you have the opportunity to visit Palermo, The Piazza San Domenico fruit market would be an interesting experience that will familiarize you with the local people and customs. The Theatre Politeama Garibaldi in Palermo is also a beautiful sight to visit.

Of course , before planning sightseeing adventures, you first must locate a place where you will want to stay. Consider the possibility of a Tuscany apartments or Tuscany villas as an alternative to hotel living. Sicily villas and Sicily apartments also can provide you with unusual and comfortable accommodations so they should be investigated also. Villas will be more expensive than apartments but are much larger and able to accommodate a group, thereby giving you the opportunity to split the costs with family and/or friends who are traveling with you.

Travel plans are very rigid once confirmed. World events however, can result in airline schedule changes and delays. Sickness and unanticipated family emergencies can often ruin your plans no matter how thorough you've been in setting them. These are just a few of the reasons why purchasing holiday insurance should be part of your planning process. The more expensive the trip being planned, the more important it is to have sufficient coverage and delays and cancellations will not cause you to lose deposit money.

Costa Luz

My friend is trying to get me to vacation with her in Spain. At first I thought, why Spain? Then she gave me some information and I fell in love. The place she wants us to go is called Costa Luz. I couldn't believe when I saw how beautiful this place is. An incredible shore (I love the water) and some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I never thought that traveling to Spain could be so beautiful.

I always thought of international travel as a drag. I don't really like the idea of not speaking the same language as the people who live in a country. It makes me feel like and outsider. I mean they can say things about you and you don't even know if they are making nasty comments or cussing you out. I have always found the whole idea a little intimidating. Now, I am really considering it. I do speak a little Spanish, but I am not quite conversational at it.

Costa de la Luz means coast of light, and this is the truth. These holiday homes in Cadiz are just beautiful. If you know anything about Spain most of the rentals available are between Cadiz and Vejer de Frontera on the coast. The landscape is amazing. This retreat looks like just the place for an international getaway.

The rates are reasonable and although Costa luz holiday rentals are beautifully designed, this is not a real touristy area and is more secluded making for the perfect beach vacation. Costa Luz is located on the Atlantic Ocean. With beautiful waves crashing on the most amazing shore line I have ever seen. The sand seems so clean and soft, I can almost feel it.

I have been to a lot of beach resorts, but have never seen one that just struck me as being a secluded getaway in the way that this one does. It takes my breath away to just look at the pictures. The water is clean and clear, and the sunsets are gorgeous.

Well, I think I am just going to throw caution to the wind and just go for it. I love the beach and the sun and the sand. The waves crashing and swishing and the wind blowing. This will be my first international trip, but the thought is kind of exciting. Bon Voyage!

Exhibit design

I have been helping out at the local elementary school. I help out in their art classes which I love. I am an art person. Well, today they told me that they are doing an art show at the local mall, and that they want me to coordinate all their exhibition design. I am flattered, but I just am not sure I can do the job. I think I have some good ideas about how to make these exhibition stands quickly and inexpensively.

First, we will take some 6 foot pieces of thick cardboard and fold them like a z to make them stand easily. Next, we will put a banner with each teachers name on one of these pieces of cardboard. Then we will get some really bright colored paints. We will sponge decorate them multicolored. We will make shapes and swirls and lots of color. Finally, when they are dry, we will put each child's artwork up on it and transport them to the local mall. This will keep everything really organized and I think it will look really great.

I think this project will be fun and I know a lot of people are going to enjoy getting in on the exhibition stand design. The way I have it planned everyone can get in on the creating part including the teachers and parent volunteers. What a fun way to for everyone to get in on it!

I put this idea online mostly because you can find many elaborate companies online that sell and rent fair stands. I went online and looked at an exhibition Germany and they had some of the most incredible trade show stand designs I have ever seen. These things were beautiful. When I went online, I found companies that were selling these items and making a good buck doing exhibit stands. I however, did not have the resources to make these kind of exotic stands, as I had limited time and resources, and needed about 5 per grade level. I needed to get the job done quickly and easily. That is how I came up with the idea I did.

I am taking art classes at school and now think that the field of exhibition design really interests me. I really never thought of doing this sort of work for a living, but I love to create and this would allow me to use my creativity to make a good living at stand construction. I don't want to be one of those starving artists or anything. I want a steady well paying job, so that I won't have to worry about where my next meal is coming from.

Tattooing

I really hate tattoos. I mean they just seem really trashy. Some people feel the need to tattoo their whole bodies. I don't know who thought of the idea of tattoos. I mean it is really kinda dumb to color your whole body by injecting dye into your skin. Also, most people have them done in mostly black. Which I find looks more greenish. I guess one or 2 tattoos looks okay, but I was told once by a friend that tattooing is very addicting. Most people say that once you have one, you just keep wanting to get more and more of them. I have even heard of people choosing their next tattoo design before they even get the first one done. Some people make lists on the ones they want to have and where. It is kinda like a tat plan.

I have seen some of these people on television that have tattooed themselves all over to look like lizards. But there's nothing wrong with that. (LOL) Yuck! These people even go as far as to have their tongues slit in half - you know like a lizard tongue. Anyway, I think someone who is doing this should go through a serious psych evaluation before being allowed to do this to themselves. There is definitely something wrong with these people.

I have looked at online tattoo design, and some of them are so strange I can hardly believe it. I know that some religions don't support doing this. They feel that to do this is to destroy your body and that God frowns upon it. I am really not sure about this thinking, however I am sure that I don't like to look at it. I definitely don't want to see these things on someones face or neck or legs or feet.

I guess I don't mind looking at an occasional tattoo on the arm, or the small of the back, but definitely with color. I just find that the people who seem to have tattoos, have a lot of them and they are all over. Kinda like an art experiment gone terribly wrong.

Plus, I can imagine that having tattoos all over your body probably would make it hard to be let's say a lawyer or a doctor. I am not sure too many people would be comfortable around you if you look like this. A teacher would be pretty covered in tattoos, especially in like a Kindergarten Class. I mean can't you see going in to meet your kids teacher and finding them completely covered in tattoos. I don't think that would fly.

People please for all of our sakes, keep the tattoos down to minimum. Thanks!

Holiday-cards

I have a sister in law who makes her own cards. Every time there is an event or holiday, she sends a handmade card. Not computer generated either. A cute one on the best paper. She uses stickers and stamps and glues all little things to them. Then she usually writes on them with those pretty paint markers or gel pens. They are some of the best cards I have ever received. It is nice to know that someone took the time to make this card just for you.

I am a card person. I enjoy sending cards to people for special occasions, especially birthday cards. I really think that this is especially important to do for the older people in your life. Let's face it when you are little everyone makes a big stink about your special day. As we get older though, there is less and less fuss made about a persons birthday. I think this is just wrong. I especially think that if someone doesn't have anybody who will make a fuss over them on their birthday, then that makes the card they get from you even more special.

When I can't be with my family for the holidays, I will usually send Thanksgiving cards to them, saying something like Happy Thanksgiving from across the miles. Just to let them know that even though we can't be together, I am thinking about them and missing them for this holiday.

I send Christmas cards and try to make sure that I at the very least send one to everyone that I receive one from. Sometimes I include a personal note, but I always hand sign my cards. I think it is really important to give that personal touch.

I like to get business birthday cards from people I do a lot a business with. It shows me that they value me and have taken the time to send me a card to say so. If I ran a business I would definitely send my clients or customersbusiness Christmas cards too. I think this is an important way to acknowledge these people and the way they are helping us to succeed.

No matter what or who a card is always a nice way to say I care.
