Barack Obama

It seems today that all of the news on TV is either about Hillary or Barack Obama, and about who is going to nail the primary. With Obama as the first black and Muslim presidential candidate that has seen such success, it probably won't be too crazy to predict the headlines. The more liberal states? "Obama New York, Obama California, Barack Obama Ohio. I wonder how the local media in each state portrays him. I've seen plenty of coverage here about Obama   in the news, but I wonder how the media portrays him as an individual in the various states. I'm sure there are differences between the northern and southern states - Texas Obama probably is not seen the same as Barack Obama Illinois. I would think that a media slant exists in the traditionally conservative states, and that race is made to be more of an issue there, even behind the scenes or in an unspoken fashion. Who knows, though, how Florida Obama differs from his reputation  in other states. Florida is always one of the key states, a few years ago that big big deal was made in florida about Bush stealing the election from Gore. Gore really did win the popular vote! And in which states do we see more Barack Obama shirts on the streets? I have yet to see a Hilary shirt, but Barack obama shirts are out there, especially on campus. Actually, it seems like the division isn't so much North versus South anymore. Although I really have noticed, along with the rest of the country, how focused the campaigning is on specific states.  I wish the candidates did not have to game the system the way they do, I wish the candidates would just talk to us about their qualifications and their values and their plans for this country.Barack Obama does seem to try to do this, when you hear him speak you do hear his passion. But campaigns will remain state driven for now unfortunately.
