concert tickets
I really enjoy going to concerts. Music is my life. My very first concert was with my mom when I was just a little kid. When she showed me the Tom Petty tickets that she had in her hands, I didn't even know what they were or who Tom Petty was. Quite honestly I loved the concert and the atmosphere, but I am still not a Tom Petty fan. I went to a few concerts with my mother when I was younger. She took me to a Sting concert and a Madonna Concert, only that wasn't the Madonna of today, although she is still kind of the same and I think that she seems like a pretty cool person. Really out there but still somehow really cool.
Now that I earn my own money, I buy a lot of concert tickets, which ironically my mother says is a waste of my money…Well what did she expect, I mean she took me to concerts and got me hooked on the atmosphere. I think she just says that because I am into country and western music which she absolutely despises. I have tried several times to get her into it, but she really can't stand it, I am afraid. I even tried to give her Kenny Chesney tickets for her birthday, and although she was very gracious about the whole thing, in the end she asked me if I would mind if she exchanged them for something else. Well, she traded them in for another concert and asked me to go with, for the life of me I can't remember who was in the concert, but all I remember was that I didn't really want to go to her concert any more than she wanted to go to mine, so we agreed to disagree.
Now, we have tried many times to agree on music, but the only thing that we can agree on is that I don't like her oldies music, and she can't stand country western. It is so bad that when we ride in the car together, we can only listen to talk radio, which I guess is better than fighting over the radio stations and whining to each other about the music selections. Don't get me wrong, other than music my mother and I get along wonderfully, we have a lot in common and we share a common love of music, just not the same genre, but that's okay.
